Possible bug with viewing replays
Hi, I'm just wondering whether anybody has noticed a bug recently in viewing replays. When I want to view the full map, the replay only seems to show the units that are in the vision of the current player's turn, and not all units on the map. I'm wondering whether this is a bug, or just a localised ...

Re: Storyline Music
Just posting updates for my piece - the piece is now finished (in my ears at least), and the final draft is here: http://www.box.net/shared/4jr0ky4f1rl69ioe7njg Hopefully you'll feel that's up to scratch for mainline, but I guess that's not for me to decide :) I've finally replaced the piano with so...

Re: Storyline Music
Right, so I did some tweaking. I tried the non piano version here - http://www.box.net/shared/fr5rqb0z3m082jzraxb8 , and the piano here: http://www.box.net/shared/yc69xgspm0p7sfh19bre ...I don't feel significant difference - TBH, I personally prefer the piano one, but I guess I've just familiarised ...

Re: Storyline Music
Thanks for the comments, some really solid feedback and nitpicking :D I've tried to address the issues you flagged up in a revised version here: http://www.box.net/shared/yc69xgspm0p7sfh19bre A few notes right here: at :27 something is out of tune, only for about a second though, and the harmony fro...

Storyline Music
Just creating a separate thread from the main post by Tyler here: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=34839 , so things don't get cluttered up :D The link to the mp3 version is here: http://www.box.net/shared/22za0er4f86mjt4ke34s and of course, feel free to comment and give feedback. ...

Re: We are in need of the following music -
professor_max - I guess this sort of stuff is better left to the campaign developers. I'm assuming that interludes that only last for about 15 seconds don't really need music anyway, I personally thought pieces like this were meant to be for those slightly beefier chunks of text which would be read ...

Re: EI: The Outpost (Royal Guard)
I play the stable version, so yes, version 1.8. Cheeselord, thank you for your very complete response. I tried your method and it seemed to work! I've provided the replay. Hey, happy to help and glad you found it useful :D I haven't played 1.9x yet so I can't comment on that. But with 1.8.6 on norm...

Re: We are in need of the following music -
That's quite nice :) Overall, I would make it start a bit faster, not because it would make the piece any better, but because many scenarios have very little dialogue, so the players would miss a lot of the theme. .50 - .54 is a bit choppy, so to speak. I would try lengthening the length of each no...

Re: We are in need of the following music -
Hi guys, Just finished a short storyline piece after I saw the request by Tyler J - and yeah, just looking for any opinions and feedback you all have :D The piece changes mood very quickly in the minute or so - I wanted to convey someone's life flashing by very quickly - childhood at the start to be...

Re: EI: The Outpost (Royal Guard)
Hiya, I feel for you - this scenario took countless hours to complete!!! :augh: For this scenario, I did use the across the river strategy, and recruited 2 mages, and the rest were HI. Perhaps an important thing to remember is that you can sort of control the AI. It wants to attack the easiest unit ...

Re: Banking=evil?
You're completely missing the point. Banking tends to draw out a game in a tedious manner. Winning against a player who was banking does not change the fact that a dozen turns of banking with minimal activity is boring. I guess it's the job of the other player to march onto the offense and p...

Re: Improving my play
Bit late to the party, but I just wanted to point out that wesnoth doesn't seem to have the same concept of 'scouting' ie sacrificing units to gain information. You units are PRECIOUS, that footpad could have been bashing undead on the head :D Just mentioning in case you make the same mistake, becau...

Re: Who was winning? - replay analysis please
Ahhh, thanks! An extremely insightful reply :D I think that I still suffer from an irrational phobia of gryphons. Despite their usefulness, they seem ridiculously overpriced, and generally pretty weak against any archers. Especially when you compare them However, I can see how more outlaws at the st...
