Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.8

I hope this Era return to be updated and fixed more frequently... Actually on my 1.8.6 Ageless Era i have fixed something(with the help of this thred too)...maybe can be a good starting point for 4.9... well there seems to be a lot of talented coders interested in AE, someone just needs to step for...

Re: GambCiv • A civ-like Wesnoth add-on

thanks for the reply i actually agree on the road costing no action (just railroads could be more expensive) but i'd love to see even more diversity in action costs - i doubt that planting a field with wheat or recruiting a peasant requires same amount of work as building a complex structure such as...

Re: GambCiv • A civ-like Wesnoth add-on

i finally got to check out your add-on and here are my notes/ideas after first run trough: - the game didn't really end when i killed enemy leaders (classic conditions) - i don't know if this is intentional - while i like the recruiting in huts, now the keep tile seems to be useless after the first ...

Re: SHould need Account

If it is so important to you, you can create a text file (or excel sheet for added convenience) that's actually exactly what i did when i first started to think about stats. so far i collected data from 481 "meaningful" games played with default era spanning over more than 3 years now...a...

Re: Dwarvish guardsmen (in 1 vs 1)

yes, i would say guard is best used facing horse or drake heavy recruits. also you compared the defense of fighter on hills and villages but obviously the stalwart ability has strongest effect on flat, where most strikes hit you, allowing the guard to survive for - often key - few hits longer.

Re: Best two units, the tournament

yeah ok, i can't really think of a way how to avoid that (tournament being about players). but i agree that because of this even when the tournie is over, we might not learn much about which pair of units is actually superior.

Re: Best two units, the tournament

no one will choose skelton since they are all scared of the adepts;) In my opinion, it does not matter since it's "the best two units" tournament, not "two units that are best against the list in first post" tournament. Rock does not become the best just because scissors are tre...

Re: 2v2 conversation

from my point of view (not a veteran 2v2 player or TGT participant, just occasional spectator) the competitive tournament games should be moving in the general direction of less fog (more information for the players) than more. while i like the idea, i think it fits better in the experimental parts ...

Re: Ageless Era - Current Version: 4.8

well, those are the factions/types of units that are not supposed to be susceptible to vector, so that would be ok.

however in current version it only works on some loyalists units and that's pretty much it, maybe there is some mistake in the filter i'm not seeing.
