Re: LordBob's commissionned work
Well he hasn't fully disappeared but is very busy and has yet to find more time for pixel pushingAdamant14 wrote: Once there was a guy named pixelmind who spend really a lot of time to create a full animated dragon sprite.
But nobody here wanted his work, and now he is gone forever.

Re: Dragon sprite
The only particular critique I can come up with is that the tail's perspective seems a bit off, possibly because it hits the ground on its side. I could be looking at it wrong, though. I see what you mean, I'll try to fix that. Are you planning to review also the other animation frames? Yeah I do. ...

Re: Dragon sprite
let's do some gravedigging ( again ) ;) Wow those sprites are really starting to show some age. Recently I stubled upon my old dragon and yet again I had to give it a quick makeover. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v472/Ludwig_der_Squig/pixelart/dragon_baseframe_20111219.png Also I realised that I...

Re: fire dragon redo
That's one big bad dragon. Looks really great. Much much better than my version. I'm still lurking in the dark waiting for the day to return ;). Work is busy as always and I'm currently working on my own animated short movie and game as well but I'll definitely sit down and try animate this wonderfu...

Re: Dragon sprite
Hi there Hadn't posted in a while because I didn't had anything new to show you. Right now I'm working on my own project so I have little time to work on the dragon. But it bugs me that I never finished it. I'm not very happy with the current design so I did a quick reshading: ( now with more spikes...

Re: Cave spider
Looks good
Maybe we can use the last 3 or 4 frames of the melee attack also as movement-animation
sorry about that.. I messed it up.thespaceinvader wrote:EDIT: for future reference, would you mind using -s rather than _s to separate words in your file names? That's the standard we have =)

Re: Cave spider
The ranged attack should work for most directions but the melee attack might look strange. I have not tried the animations in-game yet but if they aren't that bad I would prefer not to redraw every frame. The best thing to do would be to make directional animations ...... i'm too lazy to do so at th...

Re: Cave spider
A quick animation test for the ranged attack:
Not shure if this fits.... It looks kinda strange.
I doubt that a real spider could bend that way

Re: Cave spider
I wanted to animate something without wings so I gave the melee attack for the cave spider a try.
Hope you don't mind the thread necromancing.
Has anyone worked on the ranged attack yet ?

Re: Dragon sprite
Not sure if we should actually see the underside because the jaw is tilt downwards. Maybe it was the odd shape of the jaw that gave that impression ( Or I'm totally wrong and my eyes still playing tricks on me :) ) I think this is the final version for now ( so I can continue working on the sprite :...
