Re: Monsters!
Just another peanut, but frankly I'd go for #3: just warm enough for bone, and with that bleached effect. Perhaps more suitable for desert maps? Then again maybe it's my screen playing tricks on me, but #4 gives me the impression of a lot of dirt (again, that would make it more suitable for earthy m...

Re: NR Portraits
I must say (I don't post often) but the hair is amazing 8) . It just seems to flash off the character, I'm in anticipation for the next pic! Peanut gallery suggestion there, but as several people seem to have mentioned the weapon, perhaps it would be more fitting to make the blade leaf-shaped (I'll ...

Re: Campaign art - Descent into Darkness
While there is no doubt that a Darken Volk portrait that finally fits mainline style will be a huge improvement to the campaign, I feel the current sketch could stand to be even more menacing; While I'm certainly no contributing artist, here are perhaps a few reasons to justify: - It would be origin...

Re: Portraits: Drakes
I am not sure, but it seems the Blademaster's left blades angle seems off compared to his hand. As far as I'm able to judge from what we can see of his right blades, we should see more of the flat with his left hand's angle compared to us.
Just a thought from the peanut gallery.

Re: music submission, a work in progress...
I've listened to your piece and I think it's pretty good! There are a few things I've noticed though: several times over we are expecting the music to rise in volume, to a sort of climax, and instead we're left standing there while you go on to another part played by a different instrument. In certa...

Re: Looking to contribute a piece of music
Ok, next reply will probably be for an update (I don't know when though  ), until then thx again for the helpful comments. The cymbals used come from a soundfont not found on freesf2: I'll look into the cymbal/percussion soundfonts there too. I'll also beef up my listening experience to get a ...

Re: Looking to contribute a piece of music
Thx for the comments West! There is actually two different strings samples playing, one with a slightly faster attack than the other, but the reverb settings and sometimes, the other instruments playing at the same time might hide the small difference. For strings I'm using kbh and super orchestra o...

Looking to contribute a piece of music
Hello everyone, I've been on this forum for a bit of time now. Contributing had always been something that seemed beyond my skills, looking at all the great stuff that's posted here, but I've finally summed up the courage to try my hand at contributing some music. Please note that while the piece se...

Re: New portraits for Jevyan and Darken Volk
My previous post may have been misleading, suggesting that I actually have the skill to propose something that is technically better than what Blarumyrran has spent time and energy making. This is not the case imho, I would need a lot more practice and time with my actual skills in order to post som...

Re: New portraits for Jevyan and Darken Volk
The silhouette of the portrait could stand to be a little more exciting and jagged, too. But the face is pure win. I fold before the Art Director's judgement. @ blarumyrran I completely understand that as is the portrait was lacking but I didn't think of it particularily when commenting; I was more...

Re: New portraits for Jevyan and Darken Volk
I'm sorry if I'm completely mistaken but is "opetaja" the new Darken Volk? If it is unfortunately I don't think it really fits the evil necromancer hermit mage that makes up , IMHO, his character in the campaign. These traits make for a mysterious and appealing character, someone the playe...

Re: Silvan Sanctuary (possible replacement for "Elf land")
I'm writing this as I'm listening to it, and wow. Simply: the piece is transformed from the last time I heard it (and indeed especially the intro :D) This is looking really good, although just at around 2:28 the change i ton is a bit jarring as you go from an almost melancholic, sad melody to a much...

Re: Valkiers portraits: I assure you, we are open
@Valkier Ok, looking back at my post it wasn't necessarily clear what my idea was, but if you're expressing interest I'll indulge you ;) and thanks for answering! :) Allright, about the banebow: I believe that seeing the hood, while it certainly matches the sprite, we can also link this to one of th...

Re: Valkiers portraits: I assure you, we are open
I'm going to be looking at a few pages back with this post, but oh well ;) Frankly I really like what you've done with the skeleton archers. As I understand they're not finished yet, but that doesn't keep me from loving the "lone wolf" feeling I get from the bone shooter, was that intended...
