Re: Scenario Review: DM 13 - The Return of Trouble
I have played through the whole campaign. The main reason I ask for more story is things like this in the campaign: "But the king did not listen to Delfador, and rode off to war. *click next* The king was soundly defeated. *click next* King: 'fiddlesticks, I should have listened to delfador'&qu...

Re: Scenario Review: DM 13 - The Return of Trouble
1) Medium, 1.8-beta3 (2) 9 at first, 5 once I realised this is a "recruit hugest blob possible and endure" type scenario. (3) Perfectly clear. (4) Perfectly clear, though perhaps a bit brisk. The whole point of the opening dialogue seems to be to say "here's the antagonist, here's a t...

When you play Kalenz in Delfador's Memoirs you can recruit level 2s.

Is there any canonical precedent for the Saurians being alien?

Re: Fluff explanations for weaknesses/resistances
I'm not sure how mages and dark adepts would fit into this, especially since DAs are already described as being frail in the fluff. While DAs and Magi are frail of arm, the mage training may well require some resilience (especially for DAs, who being an outcast will have to rough it a lot more than...

Re: Recall Q done about 4 of the campaignsuestion
You are almost certainly playing standalone maps in multiplayer, not a campaign. You can only recall units from previous scenarios in a campaign.

Re: Ascension
I know I've slightly missed the boat on this one, but I thought there /was/ - lorewise, anyway - a way for Drakes to become true Dragons, they simply mostly forgot it, or lack the massive territory necessary for even one dragon.melinath wrote:Umm.... Drakes are not dragons.

Re: A (Hopefully) More Accurate Popularity Contest
Campaigns What is your most favourite mainline campaign? Why? DiD. In my opinion it has the best difficulty progression - the last levels pit you against some really challenging foes (and with good justification for it too) and the story is excellent. What is your least favourite mainline campaign?...

Looks good so far, but you start off by saying it can be found on the DiD campaign dialogue page

Re: Save games not loading (stable and development)
Hey,
It's been a couple of days with no posts. Is there anything else I should attach to the report that could assist in fixing it? As it stands I can't really play wesnoth properly.

Re: Save games not loading (stable and development)
Alternatively stop telling people to run --log-debug=all... What should I run instead? I notice that the threads linked to says "info" rather than "debug" - I'll run that and also look for a better paste location. Edit: the full stable debug log: http://pastebin.com/m1d14f0ab th...

Re: Save games not loading (stable and development)
Apart from a few minor changes (1.6.5 and it's "Battle for Wesnoth"), bingo!
It should be viewable at http://www.pastebucket.com/view.php?id=78
Do I need to do the same drill for testing?

I would love to help with the stderr text but I don't know how to go about running the game with --log-info=all switch.

Re: Save games not loading (stable and development)
Yes. I started a new campaign (UtbS) and those saves don't load either. I double checked before starting and the saves are set to be uncompressed.
