After seeing it on the forums with the wesnoth forum skin, I am starting to like the second one again. (darker blue) It just looks better. I like the aqua but you are right, it stands out too much here. Go with the second one.

I'd recommend making the label similar to the undo/redo arrow image. Light on top and dark/alpha on bottom. That would look nice imo but be careful on the contrast. I still recommend the blue though. I like that color.
As for the note, perhaps red would be better? (or magenta?)

Well, my in my vision of sx, I think damage/strikes should be low or left alone. (default stats with some mod perhaps.) This is most likely not how you all feel it seems. I know you have done a lot of good testing, balancing, and what not but, I still think the stats need to be lower A LOT more. I know this sounds annoying/frustrating but, can you cut all the damage/strikes in half again? If not, I may just make my own version. Nothing against SXC it's just a bit slo...
