Re: SDL Version

iceiceice wrote:I'm not actually sure what the bug is, but for what it's worth I have often compiled with SDL 1.2.15 and had no problem.
Also it seems the official windows library deps collection comes with SDL 1.2.15.
Thanks iceiceice. I will go with *.15 and see how it goes then.

SDL Version

Hello all. Working on getting a development environment to compile Wesnoth. In http://wiki.wesnoth.org/CompilingWesnoth#Prerequisites it is suggested that there is a known bug with SDL 1.2.14 that can be solved by downgrading to 1.2.13. With SDL-1.2.15 now available would anyone know if that bug is ...

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.1

That was it. Reading To build wesnoth in the source directory in the INSTALL file seemed to put my intuitive thinking on hold. Thanks for setting me straight. Things seem to be compiling now properly.

OS: Linux Fedora 11 Tried the install from the src directory and received the following error; CMake Warning (dev) in CMakeLists.txt: No cmake_minimum_required command is present. Re: New Website Idea

My guess is that the site is lean and mean in order to conserve bandwidth resources. There have been many comments asking to download the Wesnoth Package from Soureforge.net in order to save on system resources; so my guess is that your suggestion (although a generous offer) would draw resources awa...

Agreed Dixie. However it would put a plug in the elitists' blow hole.

Re: Host power abuse in isars cross

Disclaimer: Current ranking 130 of 150 on Ladder with 34% win ratio Personally n00b seems an even more overused and vague word in Wesnoth than Sustainability 's current usage in the real world. Even at my current state of playing it is not uncommon to experience many of the negative examples express...

Did not thespaceinvader make the sensible suggestion that, "you're welcome to download the old graphics from SVN, which are still floating about in the 1.6 branch, and put them back yourself... it should not cause OOS problems if you *only* change artwork and animations, so it is a viable optio...

Re: Wesnoth 1.8.0 error in SConstruct line 113 <module>

Are you sure that you have the development package of SDL_net installed? Since yeah, such a 'no' does basically say that a required component could not be found. Thanks for your observation ivanovic! After a "Duh!" expletive I ran the following... yum install lua-devel yum install SDL_ttf...

That should be 'scons wesnoth'. Running scons wesnoth on the 1.8 package under Linux Fedora 11 produced the following: [root@localhost wesnoth-1.8]# scons wesnoth scons: Reading SConscript files ... Saved options: default_targets = 'test, wesnoth, wesnothd' Building Wesnoth version 1.8.0 Checking for...

Re: Hello! I wrote patch, which disable Random Number Generator

Realizing that there are different styles of play; this is my opinion only and not meant to flame those thinking differently. For me the random factor is one of the lures to wesnoth. Welcome to Casino Wesnoth! Please place your bets! More fun that roulette! Cheaper too! :lol2: I play relying on luck...
