Re: Great Race 1.5.1

Well, as the original author of this map (I've been retired for a long time, recently came back), I pretty much considered it a finished project back when I stopped working on it in 1.2. Weeksy has control of updating it now, and probably left it similar to the 1.2 version on purpose. So you're wel...

Great Race 1.5.1

Well after converting and publishing the Great Race addon awhile back I finally played it and noticed a few small improvements that could be made to the basic game. The shops now no longer let you buy the movement, bow, or dagger improvements more than once so you can't waste your money anymore on t...

Re: SurvivalXtreme: Version 2.17.8!

Version 2.17.8 is out now! I tweaked the bulk discounts to not be so ridiculous. They're not entirely gone but the discounts are minimal at best. I also added a quickbuy catebory to the Enhancement section. This will let you spend all remaining gold on various items. There are currently choices to s...

Re: SurvivalXtreme: Version 2.17.7!

I ran only SXC and BEEM and there is no SXC maps??? altho the BEEM maps and eras are there?? That's odd, indeed. BEEM is the only dependency for SXCollection so they should show up. I have updated my copy of it and haven't noticed the maps go away so I don't think -stf- has introduced a bug that wo...

It's on my list as a thing to do something with. There are other game balancing things higher on the list though. :)

Re: SurvivalXtreme: Version 2.17.7!

@voris: Alright, that's nice to hear. :) Voris you are sadistic! The spiders in sx curve prime! TOO FUNNY. Oh, and not to mention the invisible Yetis right after the drake boss. An invisible hyper-speed Yeti with a 35-15 attack when you only have about 350 HP at most ain't not very funny, especiall...

Re: SurvivalXtreme: Version 2.17.7!

First I have to say: I'm quite impressed by the work you've done on SX, voris. Everything looks new and polished. Better than anything I've ever done, I guess. I like most of the new features. Thanks! I'm glad you like it. However, there's one thing I don't really like: the new difficulty. No, the ...

Re: SX an amazing MP game

i hav played SX for about 1.5-2 yrs and its much cooler than it used to be. with regenerates, rage, and feeding..... i was wondering if you could put the ghost and lvl2/3 in the game? i kno i can do it with other era's but i would be nice if they were in the game. since there is no drain allowed. U...

Re: SurvivalXtreme: Version 2.17.7!

No offense or anything, but the game is getting close/near to the impossible state. The goal was to kill the bosses. Yet, I am not seeing how it is possible at the moment. I do agree that the game should of been harder. But again, it seems impossible with the changes. Seriously, has anyone even bea...

Re: Is movement_type inextricably married to type?

Yes you are. It's called [modifications], [object] and [effect]. The concept of overriding [unit_type] keys directly never worked, some of them could be changed via storing-unstoring, but preffered approach was and still is [object] [effect] pair inside an [event] or [modifications] tag. Well I kno...

Ken_Oh wrote:You made up "movement_type." According to http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/UnitWML , it's "movetype."
So it does. That's odd, though, considering it's stored as movement_type in the save file and it's movement_type that i set when defining a unit using the unit_type tag.

Is movement_type inextricably married to type?

This doesn't work: [unit] side=6 type=Yeti x=5 y=17 movement_type=smallfoot [/unit] But this does: [unit] side=6 type=Yeti x=5 y=17 level=0 [/unit] So I know I wasn't taking crazy pills when I thought the general concept of overriding a key in the unit should work...just not movement_type? The only ...
