Re: League of Legends - Season 1
yeah, forgot about his passive  looks like it's time to try a variant of my old tristana build  edit-I like him a lot actually, but he really isn't a strong laner. however, he can regen his own health, so would jungle tryn work well you think? With the upcoming patch maybe; His chang...

Re: League of Legends - Season 1
i've never played as tryn (about to buy him though :D ). personally I would probably build the bloodthirster pretty early since it increases damage and lifesteal the more stuff you kill, and then probably a black cleaver in there somewhere. a combo I have liked a lot with ranged dps is getting bloo...

Re: League of Legends - Season 1
One thing that is confusing me is the Havoc mastery. It says it gives me a 5% physical and magical damage boost, however in game my attack power appears to have not changed, or at least the number in the lower right-hand corner hasn't changed :hmm: This is because havoc multiplies your actual magic...

If we're adding summoner names, then add Drediviros to the list.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh Stuff
Ah yes. Yugioh. Even during the two or so years I played it I already noticed massive power creep. I remember once having a four-star card with 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF. Later, a friend of mine had a four-star monster with 1800 ATK and 1600 DEF. O_O And yes, YGO abridged is one of the funniest things o...

Inconsistency with griffons?
I recently started playing the sceptre of fire; the campaign itself is fun, but there appears to be a problem with the character of Krawg, the griffon. He appears to be a fully sapient creature and is treated like one; didn't Dave himself say that griffons were supposed to be more comparable to anim...

Re: Is 0.9 recurring equal to 1?
.9999.... and 1 are the same. If something is infintely approaching a value, it is that value; for example, we can see this kind of thing in calculus, where there are two accepted ways of writing an expression for the area under a curve. You have standard Leibnitz notation with integrals, or you can...

Re: Elvish Lord/High Lord
It's not 'unbalanced' as long as he's priced higher, to show that he's a top-notch unit for his level.

Re: Allow recalling dead L3 units [split from Such a shame]
Well...overall, I'll say this- I don't necessarily think it's a bad feature, but I wouldn't want to see it in any existing mainline campaigns. As you suggested, it might be interesting to see in a UMC campaign.

Re: Allow recalling dead L3 units [split from Such a shame]
Another argument on the thematic side: Dave may have said only 20-30% of units defeated are actually killed, but that's not to say that those 70-80% who aren't dead are going to be able to fight again. What if they were maimed? Lost an arm or a leg? Suffered bone damage? Taken prisoner or killed by ...

Re: Such a shame
Wesnoth is not an RPG. The biggest mistake early players make is trying to focus on leveling and advancing select few units, and getting overly protective of aforementioned units, not realizing they are only a means to an end. You do not get bonus points for having lots of leveled units/keeping as m...

Re: Overpowered Faction. Requires reduction.
This is not the case. The lava terrain simply gives bonuses like daytime and they stack with the actual bonuses from daytime. Did I misread your post, or did you just say that daylight stacks with lava? EDIT: Reread previous posts....and I have to say wow. I had no idea lava worked that way. That's...

Re: Ages / Expanded races unused
chaoticwanderer: Kalfia or something like that. The only UMC faction that the developers believe is balanced against mainline (designed by Noy?). edit: Edited because there was some ambiguity. Huh. Is that the persian inspired faction? But anyway, what caused the developers to change their view tha...
