Re: Mounted unit sizes

Yeah. And actually, it's not so pointless, because what do ya know, but no one has yet done a decent "riderless horse" graphic. If you'd like to finish a set of animations for that thing, I'd actually welcome that as a stock unit in mainline. A notable "desired animation" for it would be an idle an...

Re: Standing and idle animations?

@jetryl: em, what actually happend to the ruffian idle animation I did? Will it be commited, should I change it or is it just for UMC? I don't think you did a final statement on this...

Re: New Level 0 Unit: Light Cavalrymen

I like the idea of a level 0 mounted unit, but I'm not sure about making it a charging unit. It's enough of a gamble using level 1 horsemen, and it seems like it would be very difficult to use level 0 charging units without them all ending up dead. And cannon-fodder doesn't really fit into a loyali...

Re: Level 0s for every Level 1 - Humans

If you have time/want to could you animate the first version on the light colored horse with metal spear please? I personally don't like the one just with the head changed... I has armor that doesn't look like L0.... a tunic like the peasant or ruffian looks much cheaper... But If you really would ...

Re: Era and possible Campaign Idea - English Civil War 1642–1646

Wow, I'm really impressed about how much you know about that stuff... I totaly agree with everything you said. I like the idea of doing different "loyalists" factions, but I don't know wich sides were involved...

Re: Standing and idle animations?

Also, something seems very odd about the colors in that sprite-sheet you posted, I'm not sure what's causing that. Make sure they're the same set of RGB colors that were in the original images, or team coloration will break. I tested it in the game and there is no problem with the TC. I just had to...

Re: Standing and idle animations?

For instance with this animation - it really shows that his left arm doesn't move at all. His toro doesn't really move, just his head and collar. If his torso turns, his legs need to shift to accommodate the weight change, and you'll make the tapping movement more realistic if you move the free han...

Re: Standing and idle animations?

Turning the whole body to face camera would not be unprecedented - the skeleton and ogre (or is it young ogre?) both do it IIRC. Have his head look down, and maybe move a leg over either way. I tried to let him look down. Now I have something between looking down and towards us. Does it look good.?...

Re: Standing and idle animations?

I'm no sprite artist so sorry if this isn't valid, but in my opinion ,and from what I am gathering from what Jetryl has said above, more then just his hands need to move. For example; if he took a step forward(or to his side) and practiced swinging it like he's physicking himself up for a fight, or...
