Re: The Rise Of Wesnoth - A New Land
OK, this time on windows, (at work  ). It occured every time I tried the scenario. Here are two saves; turn_5 is before she appears, turn_8 is after her speech and everything is continuing. there's Lady Dionla up north. Oh, and the config file. It might be something we're doing in game that do...

Re: im stuck on hide and seek in liberty
A very "cerebral" level. I took two days to complete it, like one of those chess games where you move a piece then go to work and move another piece the next day.
No need to rush, just be careful. Very careful!

Re: I need some help with EI: Xenophobia
Here's something that worked to great effect for me; Don't do anything. No really, recruit your force and wait about five turns before moving away from the keep. This allows everybody else to get well and truly engaged in battle. I then moved north to an almost empty Dwarven keep. (Some of the dwarv...

Re: The Rise Of Wesnoth - A New Land
OK, now, let's see if I can figure out how to do this...
I hope this'll help figure it out. I hope to eventually
learn WML, but that's going to take a while!

Re: The Rise Of Wesnoth - A New Land
I'm at work right now, but I'll post my .cfg file when I get home. I've already finished the campaign, so possibly the only save I'll have is the very beginning, would that be ok?
EDIT: Never mind, I re-read your post . I'm pretty sure that's the only save I have left.

The Rise Of Wesnoth - A New Land
1) I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 2) Version 1.41 of game 3) Get to "A New Land" in trow, objective is to avoid confrontation as long as possible. Around turn 10 Lady Dionla comes out with the "what's going on here" dialog, tells me to follow her; then joins the battle which proceeds fr...

Re: Northern Rebirth: Elvish Princess
The way I did it was going in hard and quick with some veteran units, with a gryphon in the second line with your healers. You have to get up on the battlements and fight to get the "inner circle" of Orcs to break away to fight you. If you're successful, a gap in the ZOC will appear, fly t...

Re: Why do people quit playing?
In RL, strategic decisions can (and often are) made far away from the battle (sometimes thousands of miles). Tactical decisions are made often closer (or at) the front. For Instance, the decision to take and occupy a City would probably be considered a Strategic one made by generals. Orders would be...
