Re: Can I have two versions of Wesnoth installed?

Ok, I installed Wesnoth 1.6 as I always do (just ./configure, make, make install) and then installed 1.7.1 with the prefix option (./configure --prefix=/home/pkjoa/wesnoth-dev). I can play 1.6, but when I try to initiate wesntoh 1.7, the game exits before even showing the main menu. This is what I g...

Re: Can I have two versions of Wesnoth installed?

Ok, I am downloading the source code to compile. I already have the dependencies. So, how do you change the directory where you install? I always install by "sudo su ./configure make && make install" What do I have to change there to install on another directory? Thanks for the hel...

Can I have two versions of Wesnoth installed?

Hi, I really enjoy testing the new features over the development branch, but I also would like to have the stable branch to play a few multiplayer matchs.

Is this possible? How can I install 1.6 and 1.7 at the same time?

Thanks and sorry for the bad English :)!

Re: Unit Sound On Selection

It will be interesting for special units as Konrad or so... but no for every unit.

Re: Wesnoth 1.6

Downloading right now! It comes just in time for me to familiarize with WML to make a campaing and/or translate some of them :D. Thanks for such a great game! I bought Empire Total War, played 1 battle and I thought: BFW is better... I reboot to put Ubuntu and continue playing the best free game ever.

Re: What are you reading right now?

1984 is just GREAT. I just finished "Animal Farm" from the same author (Orwell) and I can say that it is VERY good too.

Re: SLOW Performance Issues: post here to Help

Hi, I downloaded wesntoh 1.5.12 (aka wesnoth 1.6rc1) a few days ago and I realize that I have very low FPS sometimes. They are totally random, and are no all the time (2 or 3 turns, and then it come back to normal for a while)... I tried playing multiplayer(on-line and off-line), with or without fog...

Re: Interface: double click

I think that it is a GREAT idea and will make the game more keyboard-dependent (playing without keys shortcuts is just a nightmare for me). Just so you know, as Wintermute mentioned earlier, there are already keyboard shortcuts for most of the actions mentioned here (recruiting, recalling, viewing ...

Re: Scenario: Conker the castle

Just make version 0.02. I eliminate some of the advantages of player one, put more deep water of the side of player 2, added quite a lot of mountains and 2 new castles for player 2 and 3 (or when P1 wants to escape), took out a LOT of trees. I can´t test this, because there are no 3 players in my ho...

Scenario: Conquer the Castle

I just made this 2 vs 1 map... it is very very very alpha release so there can be bugs and all. I played it with my brother and a friend for over 5 hours, and I don´t really know if it is well balanced. We play Rebels (player 1) against Undead and Northerns and I, Rebels, win, but dont really know i...
