The problem occurs on 1.13.14 and as far as I know it is also present on 1.12.

This is probably very UMC specific, but is related to the way the game handles animation so I decided to report it anyway. @FortTell: For the effects to take place, you have to load the initial savegame for that scenario (without the "autosave" suffix). Otherwise the game will load an obsolete snapshot of the era.

I can confirm the issue with indexed colors has been fixed for BfW 1.13.12 (SDL 2.0.4). Thank you! :) It looks like the game still has problems using terrain graphics without transparency (non-rgba pngs, jpgs and similar). bfw11312-rendering-issue2.jpg Interestingly this does not happen on 1.12 :hm...
