Re: two campaign ideas: 'Only one sun' and 'A new world'
There there Shadow Master. I plan on playing your campaign just as soon as I've finished replaying all the mainline ones (I'm finding them changed quite a bit between 1.2.8 and 1.4). Honestly, I have it downloaded and everything (it looked good).

Re: Campaign: Love To Death
Well, lovely feedback, that is for sure. Ratha, your language feedback is very good. I thank you for it. Makes me feel a little bad so much effort from you. I promise I will help you. By the way, what's up with Revolution? I have been checking, and nothing new! It's not much extra work. I'm somethi...

Re: Campaign: Love To Death
Okay, I'm done analyzing the english for the first scenario and the deaths macros. There's a lot to correct, but all in differing degrees. What I'm posting here comes in a few styles. Basically, if the correction is in green, it's only a suggestion, but doesn't really violate any laws of grammar. If...

Re: Campaign: Love To Death
Well Geos, I've been waiting for this with baited breath, and I must admit, I expected maybe something as good as 'Under the Burning Suns.' At best. Then you released it. Good god! You asked about your english, and yes, there are mistakes, but your words still flow like art! The music is mournful, t...

Re: Of different approaches to scenario design
So...do you recognize yourself as belonging to this other group of gamers who don't mind a game seemingly unfairly screwing them over, and for whom the fun of playing games (or only some kinds of games?) comes more from treating the game as a challenge and then overcoming it, rather than from the e...

Re: Revolution
Ok, I just played scenario 4, here we go with the feedback. 1. Is fairly easy (well, i'm playing on easy), but is still funny. Maybe a little too much skeletons and to little corpses, but anyway gets balanced with the ghosts. It's odd. I gave Rhaec the ability to recruit walking corpses and vampire...

Re: reducing save/loading
*ahem* I save/load. I save/load a lot. When do I save load? 1. In campaigns when all I really care about is the storyline, not the game itself. When don't I save load? 2. In multiplayer and single player scenarios. That said, if I cared about things like 'tactics' and 'strategy' I wouldn't play the ...

Re: Revolution
Yay! Feedback! Thanks Geos! 2. Kills his old master pretty soon, ah? I was expecting to be that the main line, but I see that there will be much more. Well, we'll see. I suppose that would have a poetic symetry to it, but... ahhh, well. No spoilers. 3. Language is very... street like. So far I like,...

Re: Revolution
As I played through scenario 4 for the fifth time (but my first really serious time with all the programming done) I thought 'Damnit, I'm killing off side 2 like stink, maybe I made it too easy...' Then the enemy leader made it back to base (he's supposed to be able to do that) and my plans all went...

Re: Wolf Rider portrait
That... leaves me speechless!
Of course, it doesn't actually take much to do that to me, but please, take it as a compliment.

Re: Revolution
I've finally done it. The first three scenarios of Revolution are finished, and can be found in the attached zip file. Unzip to your userdata campaigns, play, and give me feedback. Any feedback you can give will be appreciated, but the feedback I really want is this: How do the difficulty levels fee...

Re: Sighted event and alternatives
Well, I tried it, and it worked. Four seperate events, but they all mesh fairly seemlessly, even if it does look rather unwieldy. They don't work perfectly, but that's more... body of the code stuff... and I have plenty of things to try before that foils me. Probably something wrong with the while l...

Re: Sighted event and alternatives
Thanks. That looks like it might work. An event that triggers when two units get close together should be just fine for this scenario.
I'll try to implement it when I get back to a computer with all my scenario files on it, and I'll post how it goes.

Re: Sighted event and alternatives
I don't think there's a [filter_second] on the moveto event. And if that were meant to be a sighted event or something, wouldn't it trigger whenever ANY of side 1 saw Zarste? That's not exactly the point...

Sighted event and alternatives
So, I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but I've finally decided to just swallow my pride and ask if anyone else knows something about this. I'm trying to make two seperate events. Two characters are moving around the screen. So are their followers. When one of the characters spots the fo...
