Re: artisticdude's sprites (critique welcome)
Hate to sound like a bit of a [censored], but the dino-soar.png looks like you've simply reduced a picture in size. And on further inspection so does the portal :augh: If you're worried about it, I didn't break any rules or steal anything. I created the bases for these using my 3d program and edite...

Re: What are you reading right now?
Just finished the graphic novel "Maus". If you would like a moving and interesting story about how a Jewish man and his wife have to deal with the Hollocaust. I highly recommend it. The characters are portrayed as animals depending on their nationality and race (a lot like george orwells A...

Purely for asthetics if anything. Asside from the fact its pretty hard to get hit by a lightning bolt, let alone multiple times. It seems like one of those ideas that would get rejected in the ideas forum for adding unwanted complexity to the game. It might add nicely to some UMC however.

Re: Free sprites
I can imagine it would be fun to have a WH40K era that I could play but all that hard work and I would be the only one to play it and appreciate it. :hmm: Plus the fact I cannot script makes things very tricky. Mabe not a good idea. :annoyed: Well why not put all that work into coming up with a uni...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?
Ok so i just got back from seeing Avatar in 3D and ive got to say im pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Visually its fantastic and with teh 3D you really feel like your actually part of the world. I loved seeing how this "new species" lived and how the forest around them was practica...

Re: Woody's music
But I made first song that would fit in Wesnoth, I think. If you're serious about becoming a musician -- and if you are, I sincerely wish you the best of luck -- spend that time practicing and researching and listening and analyzing. Being able to write music is an awesome skill that is guaranteed ...

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?
A quick top 5 of my personal favourites. 1. Kingdom of Heaven [didn't care much for Olando Blooms acting in this film, i feel Russel Crow or any other male actor could have done just as good a job if not better, but the film itself IMO is superb. Fantastic musicalscore, interesting story likable cha...

Re: Quietus' revival artwork thread
Or, they have these wonderful things these days called erasers :P When working digitally, knowing you can go crazy without completely ruining your work is a reasuring thought. Its just not the same when you put pencil to paper. EDIT:stDrake, im not great at cats, but if you give me what you've done...

Re: Quietus' revival artwork thread
The shading seems very random. For the most part it is random. Im not great with the whole shading thing yet. I probably wont do anymore sketching as i prefer spriting and having the ability to CTRL Z things =P Btw, did you make your avatar yourself? Nope its from Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories I...

Re: Quietus' revival artwork thread
I love it :). Its very well done. Alot better than what I've been able to do so far... Dragon.png So what are you going to do with that? Are you making a portrait or a sprite or something :) ? It looks like it has great potential. :) EDIT: Oh dear are people shunning this thread because of my horre...

Re: Quietus' revival artwork thread
That's a pretty awesome looking dragon ^_^ My only question is to what exactly is on top of his head XD Thanks, i was experimenting around and decided it was a fin that would go down his back. Something like this Looks like a cool design, but the profile view makes it feel like a technical drawing ...

Quietus' revival artwork thread
Or at least i hope it will be :P My inactivity has largely been due to my moving to Scotland to go to uni (spaceinvader im after you hehe). A week into my course and ive finally settled down enough to get back onto the forums (the 5-6 months have been a real strain on me, and ive largely avoided for...

Re: Ripped material in Wesnoth
Ok, I know what you're meaning, but still this is a minor copyright infringment. And it's a pity too. A temporary replacement gfx would be fine, no? Even a simple palette change... A temporary replacement would work, but unless you want to throw in something ugly, you'll have to put effort into it ...
