Re: Scenario 8: Carcyn

it could be that Carcyn Jr. is lacking discipline or Carcyn Fisher is a bad father Both, probably. how about you get it that if you zombify lots of humans, Carcyn surrenders and decides to let you do what you want? On hard, you have to zombify lots of humans just to survive, so that wouldn't work v...

Re: Even more zombie sprites needed

So, here is where I am with this. Rats: Die frames are important for zombies, so I made those. And, die frames should be modifications of defense frames, so I cut and slid some of those too. If someone gets ambitious and wants to make attack frames, I'll stick them in, but I consider these good enou...

Re: Even more zombie sprites needed

what do you think about elvish zombies? its the only race which has not its own zombie. I think the "human" zombie serves well enough for all the bipeds: humans, elves, orcs, and ogres. Anyway here's the soulless rat That looks great! Thank you. Unsure about the TC in the eyesocket (zombie and soul...

Re: Even more zombie sprites needed

It does sound like something Ardonna would do, but not what would result if you killed and immediately raised a spider.

Re: Is string concatenation broken?

That makes sense, thanks. I don't remember ever adding vertical bars before, but it does work that way.

Is string concatenation broken?

Am I doing something wrong, or has this been broken for a while? [set_variable] name=var value="foo" [/set_variable] {DEBUG_MSG ($var)} #1 {DEBUG_MSG ("var=" + $var )} #2 {DEBUG_MSG ($var + "bar")} #3 {DEBUG_MSG ("var=" + $var + "bar")} #4 Both #1 and #2 work as I expected. They show foo and var=foo...

Re: Even more zombie sprites needed

No, that looks great! It looks a lot larger than the level-0, so it might be a few pixels too big, but it's already better than I expected.

Fully animated wolf rider zombie and soulless
Okay, thanks! I'll use these for now. But, if someone animates Eternal's sprite, I'll use that instead because it's not a frankenstein.

Re: even more zombie sprites needed

On a related note, would it be possible to make a non-fluent movement animation in WML, so the stays still while it places its leg and only moves foreward while it drags itsself? Yes, that's possible. The animation engine is pretty flexible. Having a spider with just one leg might be going too far,...

Re: even more zombie sprites needed

I agree that having it on its back would be ideal, but it would take quite a few frames to animate it moving and attacking. I certainly can't do it. Vyncyn and I were thinking along the same lines, because this is the placeholder image I have been using for both levels. zombie-spider.png I think it ...

Even more zombie sprites needed

I'm adding a new zombie system to Secrets of the Ancients where, as soon as you kill any unit, you can recruit that type of walking corpse. That means I need walking corpse sprites for pretty much every unit though. Recent work, mostly by doofus-01, has given us almost everything, but I still really...

Re: Great Mage Again

Okay, I guess not. In my defense, I was trying to figure out how a Great Mage was as great as the text says when all he does is throw fireballs. Can he really be better than a mage who teleports, heals, or raises dead and throws fire of some kind? That was where the enchantment idea came from. The a...

Great Mage Again

Problem The Great Mage is arguably the least powerful level-4 unit, and is not usually worth the extra upkeep. I actually want my Arch Mages not to level up. It's a rather boring advancement, too, as it doesn't add any extra abilities or attacks. Not only that, but "Arch-" means something like "the...

The female fencer's boobs look quite a bit more pronounced than the thief's, though.
In fact, her chest isn't believable. I'm sure that a fencer with breasts that size would have to strap them down in some way in order to move properly, so you wouldn't see them like that.

Oh. That was too easy. I thought I had create a definition for my grid with a default resolution or something like that. Thanks!
