Re: Lich/Ghost flicker bug

both times I encountered this were after many times tweaking the scenario, refreshing at the title screen and re-opening it. Could easily be coincidence, but it also makes sense if it's some part of some cache getting messed up I've done the same thing without seeing a bug like this, but you can fi...

Re: open mandatory WML child missing yet untested for Version 1.14.3

Hi Ransom0001, welcome to the forums. This is confusing. What we're looking at here are a lot of different components that don't actually fit together, and are missing bits and pieces. I think you also made up some WML that you thought would probably work. It never does. It's fixable, but we need to...

Re: How to do starting villages.

{STARTING_VILLAGES} creates an event, so it can't be used inside an event (like prestart). It won't cause an error, but it won't do anything either. Put it directly in the [scenario] tag.

Re: SFault's (franken) art

It still looks too similar to the level-1 I think. Ken Oh did one, and he removed the hood and robe instead of the wand. Have you seen his level-0 sprites?

Edit: These are animated too, with female variants where possible.

Re: Options

Read "Notes about Radius Usage" in the Standard Location Filter . I think you are having the problem they talk about there: Your [filter] tag seems to check to make sure that the id of the moving unit is Squid, then it checks to make sure that the id of the unit on the moving unit's location is Smit...

Re: Orcish Campaign: The Founding of Borstep

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you liked it. This is an old campaign, which is why there is no "last scenario" note or dates for chronological ordering. I would like to have some more unusual mechanics for later scenarios, but I ran out of ideas. Feel free to make specific suggestions. It's very...

Re: ForestDragon's WML questions

I didn't really have much knowledge of the many great WML additions of the 1.13.x/1.14.x versions You don't need to know. That's what the documentation is for. I didn't know this key existed either until I saw your question and looked at the standard unit filter keys. :eng: The point is that before...

Re: ForestDragon's WML questions

Did you look at the standard unit filter tags? There is "ability_type_active". Or did you try that already?

Re: Secrets of the Ancient - Mountain Pass

It might be possible on Normal difficulty, but not the others. You want close to 200. It shouldn't be too hard to get because there are a lot of villages on the previous level. High-level skeletons are actually more reliable than high-level ghosts against gryphons, although a couple spectres would b...

Re: Italic

I get italic with Firefox 60 and Chrome 67 on openSUSE leap 15. Did the site change anything two or three days ago? phpBB update, stylesheet tweak? Something is different. Edit: Okay, so hearing that the problem must be on my side (whatever the cause), I was able to fix it. I inspected the code and ...

Re: Italic

Huh. I didn't install any fonts, drivers, updates or anything, and suddenly, this website had a different font face. And this is the only website with a different font face. That really doesn't sound like a problem at my end, so what the heck is going on?

Italic

Why is a lot of the forum in italic font now? I assumed it was a mistake and waited a couple days, but it's still showing up like that on two different browsers, even if I clear the cache. Can we get it fixed please? It's harder to read. Thanks.

Re: Easy access to useful campaign information

It would be nice to have a place just for those spoilers that make campaigns easier. (For example, how to get every loyal unit in HttT.) Why is my idea good? Because it may be boring to read walkthroughs or scenario code just looking for secrets. In order to make this list, someone is going to have...

Re: Summer Camp-aigns

I have to say, those kings and kingdoms are weak. That's some extremely peaceful age right there. I realize that the campaigns are too easy. That's a fair criticism. It's not really the students' fault though, because they had only played Wesnoth for two hours before they started designing and test...
