BfW can't find my scenarios I'm not sure this is a problem with relative vs. absolute paths. If there is an error in the campaign, BfW will refuse to load it, and the game will report that the scenarios can't be found. That might be the actual problem. Maybe you have a typo in your _main.cfg file. ...

the campaign still didn't show up in the list. I saved your code as _main.cfg, and put it in my add-ons folder inside a folder called Second_Front. It showed up in my campaign list as soon as I put quotes around the image path. I'm using 1.14.5 too, so it should work for you. What does your code lo...

I used a much simpler definition for the difficulties.
That's one of the reasons I asked about the version. CAMPAIGN_DIFFICULTY is an easier macro, but it doesn't work in 1.12. (MENU_IMG_TXT2 works in both versions, but will be removed at some point.)

can't get my campaign to show up in the list of campaigns. There should be an error message directing you to a problem with the {MENU_IMG_TXT2} macro. Did you see that? Anyway, parentheses have a special meaning inside of macros calls, and the parentheses in your image paths are causing this error....

I guess. Not in the state it's in at the moment though. I made it pretty specifically for the class. There are some parts that aren't normal, but helped me to teach about WML faster I could fix it up and post it, but I won't have time right away. What happened to ASC?

Maybe this will help. I made this simple campaign to teach students about WML. The campaign uses simple code, and it has a lot of comments. The comments are in English, but maybe they are better than nothing. Unzip this folder, and put in your add-ons folder.

Unfortunately, you can't rotate pixel art without ruining it. Wesnoth units use pixel art so they "pop" against the terrain. (Well, assuming they aren't half under water, anyway.) It just means the team-colored ellipse that appears under a unit. (Unless you have team colors turned off in the display preferences.)

By default, units are drawn in front of images placed with [item]. You can only make units appear behind the image by using halo=yes. Did you do that?

If by "create" you mean "slightly modify what currently exists," then yeah, it doesn't take that long. Maybe a real artist will come along and think it worth their while to make something new, but these should tide you over in the meantime.
