Quick follow up(didn't have time to check things out, last night): Sound's now working. I imagine it had to do with the fact that I rebooted before heading to bed, though I thought I had rebooted after compiling it yesterday. :oops: Thanks for the response, Rhuvaen! No Sound(Wesnoth 1.3.13)
Compiled on Ubuntu 7.10.
Only flags I used for the configure were a datadir, enable-editor and server-enable.(Or whichever exact format they took)
Going to Preferences > Sound shows all the sound options are 'off'(no X) and it's not possible to activate them.
Any ideas?

Advice on Compiling 1.2.8 on Ubuntu 7.10?
Just wondering if anyone had any, before I went ahead. :P Also..does 1.2.6(version available in the 7.10 repositories) ok for multiplayer?(Specifically, playing with my fiancee who'll be using 1.2.8 for Windows) I'll be compiling 1.2.8 at some point, either way...but boy are there a lot of options i...
