Re: Polar Fauna

Hmm, most far north type critters would be mammalian beasts. Bears and wolves are pretty much a given, you could also do stuff with wolverines and other (enlarged) mustelids as far as predators go. Giant eagles and owls could work for flying monsters. A lot of creatures identified with extreme cold ...

Re: Magical Attack Icons (part 4 added)

Thread Necromancy, but with good cause.

I've finally gotten around to putting the Wesnoth style icons as an add-on on the add-on server for 1.10. Go check it out.
I fixed the issue with the non-transparent backgrounds and added in alternate plain rock icons with more natural looking highlights.

Re: Magical Attack Icons (part 4 added)

It still won't let me upload stuff over 2 MB so i just re-uploaded the three i already had with readmes. Should i be doing something different to upload bigger files than just using the 'upload attachment' thing at the bottom of the posting thing?

Re: Magical Attack Icons (part 4 added)

I went ahead and did the legwork to convert all of these to wesnoth style for whoever wants to use them. Separated into 3 files to get past the size limit in no particular order.

These are most excellent, by the way.

Edit: re-upload with readmes

Re: Status of Loyalist Baseframes

About that plume, i was under the impression that there was an agreement plumes are supposed to only be for loyalist leaders. Did a little search to confirm and found this comment by Jetrel: For loyalists, the plume indicates leadership. Feathers don't signify this, but the straight-out military hor...

Capital idea. Did the head too so the limbs don't look as out of place.

Also, something boney.

You were, but i don't see how any of that is relevant to the topic at hand. The price is already at 18 gold and is good as is. I just want the xp requirement increased.

Dawrvish Scout xp tweak

The dwarvish scout unit is currently unavailable for mainline multiplayer, but i added it into a modified Pick Your Recruits era with other mainline-but-not-default units. Playing a couple games shows that they are actually quite strong and act more like a mixed fighter, with damage rivaling frontli...

Re: Ancient Lich Development

but I was viewing the topic often If so you would know the official verdict on a frankensteined sprite being used for the ancient lich is: No, we're not doing that. So if the two of you want to 'develop' the ancient lich in this way, please take it to the art workshop and out of this thread. And us...

Walking Corpse stat problem

The troll variation for the walking corpse can move into deep water like all of the other walking corpses, but has 0% defense in it instead of the usual 10%. The troll variation for the soulless has no such problem indicating that this is not intentional. This is easily fixed and present in both the...

Re: Zero Hasn't Posted In His Own Thread For A Month! Egad!

So the game is about Leo going around and murdering all the other signs of the zodiac? You're a Leo aren't you. 8) Anyways cool image, though it wouldn't work terribly well as an actual game. I think it would work better if the 'interface' elements used a different palette than the background. I'd e...

Re: LordBob's random stuff : trolls !

What if the carved lines were dyed or painted some way? It occurs to me that trolls could probably get away with using house toxic paint on themselves. Which leads to another idea of having stuff just painted on with thick goopy paint.

Re: Outsider Art for Bad Moon Rising

With the general stance, implied tail between the legs and the downward tilting head, the way the dog is holding it's front leg makes it look like the leg or paw is injured and the dog is avoiding putting its weight on it. Useful for when you find one of these guys as the only survivor of another co...
