Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: 4player Map Contest and Overhaul!
Here's a late entry I've fired up. It's a 2v2 fought in a rotting setting. Players will need to respond to ToD changes to be successful. Be prepared to retreat/advance your line!

WC - what are your favourite items?
After some debate over what the best items in WC_NM are - we decided to put it out for a general vote! There are some items we all start getting excited about and begin plotting ways to "trade" for the bonuses revealed on the map, then there are others that well, they may as well just get ...

Re: Ladder Site Online...
And even if I might be missed, I would like to end this case on my own by stopping to play ladder (and in my case that means wesnoth) forever, instead of being pilloried in red. :) Any decision that turns away a wesnoth stalwart/top tier player is a poor decision. Before banning a player of nani's ...

Re: how to handle players that don't understand defence
If you want your matches to have some downloads, you probably want to play in another map, Isar Cross is quite unbalanced. Also, Isar Cross *is* to rush, because there's no other way to have fun ina 75 hexes map  Winning is fun and depending factions, defence is often the best way to win o...

how to handle players that don't understand defence
This replay shows the problems of playing with less experienced players who get annoyed at non-rush tactics. I copped it from team mate and seemingly opponents also! Yet in the end, I won so was quite happy, although the lack of courtesy by not saying 'gg' is always annoying. (in the match red selec...

That's a lot of villages for two players. Would the game ever end?

Re: 4p - River Crossing 2v2 MP Map
A map with some potential sure. I think the problem for undead is a problem shared by other faction combinations - but is more an issue to do with lawful advantage than undead disadvantage. It strikes me at first glance as a game of two isolated 1v1 matches. This is based on the long diagonal distan...

Root of all evil!
Well, learned that from the likes of grrr, but anyways, yip I remember that match with me as drakes in the centre.
That was some seriously "touch and go" action, but most enjoyable for sure!
Underestimate the lone ranger skirmisher at your peril!

Re: Winter 2009 - Map Making Contest!
Azgart's Fall on page 6 of this thread has been through another change today. It has evolved markedly from when the initial version was uploaded. It remains a 4p FFA but now involves a new feature aimed at speeding up the game. It is likely to evolve further in the near future - but the current vers...

Azgart's Fall
In a time before Delfador, Prince Azgart was banished to a secluded valley that rose from a labrynth of caves. Left to rot there after betraying mankind, an undead horde swept through the cave, crushing what small resistance Azgart could muster with his rabble of murderous thieves and thugs who had...

Re: random Time of Day as default setting
Imagine an orc or undead having to actually defend the first day time cycle since the game started at dusk instead of dawn *gasp* Seems you have commented without looking at the replay. And don't pass judgement on the final moves of the purle player... the issue about random ToD is raised by that p...

random Time of Day as default setting
This is a replay of a game that gives perfect starting time of day advantage to lawful factions. The drake player is given a huge advantage vs undead in this situation. Perhaps this replay will provide useful evidence in a discussion on returning Wesnoth default setting to fixed starting ToD (dawn),...
