Re: A few questions about credits, reusing content and lore

Now that is some nice news. Because it means they have free will and emotions. :D Maybe I'm not as far from the canon as I originally thought. I guess I should play AtS, but man expert campaigns always get me mad 'cuz I suck. :(

Re: How to change a side's defeat conditions mid-scenario ?

... duh, I had forgotten about that whole Lua thing. Solving this actually ended up being trivial. x) Thanks for the quick answer anyway.

How to change a side's defeat conditions mid-scenario ?

Hello, I want to do the following things : -The player kills the enemy leader and places his leader on the enemy keep -At this point enemy reinforcements arrive and attack the player -The scenario ends when said reinforcements are all beaten The problem I have is that none of the standard defeat con...

Re: A few questions about credits, reusing content and lore

Yes I've seen that I need to change a few lines for the files. Also side question while I'm at it and it doesn't deserve a thread anyway : what would an acceptable "relief expression" be for Elves ? Thanks the gods (or "the goddess" ? I think they have one primary deity...) ? The...

Re: A few questions about credits, reusing content and lore

Well the problem here is that from what I've seen, the few appearances of Chaos so far have been as omnicidal maniacs (which is, well, expected from demons and cultists I suppose). And the point of my campaign is exactly to make them something else. :D To speak in DnD terms, "my" Chaos fol...

Re: A few questions about credits, reusing content and lore

I'm mostly interested in the Chaos gods and "society" actually. Mostly because my story involves a kind of rebellion inside the forces of Chaos. I don't intend to mention Kaleh (forgot to mention I had played UtbS too, 'twas even longer ago though, I think it wasn't mainline yet) or any ot...

A few questions about credits, reusing content and lore

Hello! (Sorry if this is not the appropriate subforum, but I don't think it fits the Development one) Some of these questions might be stupid, but I'd rather ask than make some terrible faux-pas and then regret it. After all, I know close to nothing about that whole "open source" thingy an...

Re: looking for undead/necromacy campaigns

You'll need to downgrade to 1.8 as I haven't been able to find it on the current servers, but Danse Macabre is easily one of the best Undead campaigns I've ever played. It was badly balanced last time I played it though, with difficulty spiking from trivial to insane in the span of one or two scenar...

Re: Please post your favorite non-mainline campaign

Most of the campaigns I liked were already mentioned, but you could also try out "Bitter Revenge" by Wonderboy. Has a rather dark story for a Wesnoth campaign though, but interesting and I liked the characters. Not the easiest campaign out there, either. And it was only on 1.8, last time I...

Re: A Rough Life

Yeah : don't try to win it, since you can't (you only have a bunch of ruffians, the enemies and especially the mud thingy keep recruiting). Your goal is just to survive 15 turns (and kill the goblin henchman, if you can), after which it's okay if you get killed.

Re: UMC Image Resources as add-on or as website?

The ability to select a few images (and preview them) is a very good reason to put it on a server instead of a huge add-on. However, if some people need more than "a few", then the add-on might get more useful, so "both" is definitly the best option, but since it obviously requir...

Re: A Rough Life

That's a nice sprite for sure. The leafy wings might be a tad too much though, heh. Is it said anywhere she has wings ? I'd think an Elf with Dwarvish blood (and who lived in a cave pretty much all her life) wouldn't be that close to the forest, but that's my interpretation. Although I was mainly th...

Re: The War of Terrador

Hello. I didn't see any thread in development area (because this campaign has been finished for a long time I guess), so I'll post here. Just started playing it. Sounds neat, except the "nasty omnicidal aliens" part, but as I'm only at scenario 3, so I'm sure some things will be explained ...

Re: Wesnoth Forum Era

Here comes my description : Most clansmen think that ranged weapons aren't worthy of a true warrior. The wendek agrees with that, but knows that archers can decimate even the most valiant fighters... hence he fights at distance, but with axes instead of arrows. He mastered the art of throwing little...

Re: A Rough Life

Hmm... I remember having a sprite, made for an old campaign, by the Wesnoth Italian Forum. Perhaps I should post it, so you can comment. However, it will be the same sprite for all the three levels, so perhaps it isn't a good choice. :( On the other hand it makes sense. The whole campaign lasts wha...
