Re: Age of Wesnoth Players

Why would we want to do that ? 40 is sooo old! Most of those geezers are probably too feeble to turn on a computer, if they even knew what one was. They certainly don't get the hip youth culture of Wesnoth. Can't touch this. 8) See, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'm waiting for it to start an...

Re: Age of Wesnoth Players

I do find it disquieting though that they made only one category for 40+ (where I find myself).
And even that one is rather sparsely populated. Makes me wonder whether I'm about to suddenly lose ability/interest to play wesnoth due to old age :hmm:

Re: [1.9.x/1.10.x] Legend of Wesmere

(BfW 1.9.4, single player, normal) First of all, I have to say I really really like this campaign. It is one of my all time favourites, mainly for those things which are criticized so much by others :P It's really sad to hear the former focus on shaman levelups is being toned down somewhat, because ...

Re: Bad habits against the AI? (moved)

Against the AI you learn how to put your units on high defense tiles. Even against the AI I find myself relying less and less on high defense tiles. I'd rather say "fair defense": The only thing to make sure about (for instance by ZOCing) is the enemy isn't getting much better defense tha...

Re: V1.9/1.10 SP - Scenario Review: LoW 4 - The Elvish Treas

Please try to replace the scenario file itself: http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/wesnoth/trunk/data/campaigns/Legend_of_Wesmere/scenarios/04_The_Elvish_Treasure.cfg?view=markup I have fixed something that did not make it into 1.9.2. Maybe that solves your problem. I don't really have that file, but inste...

Re: How to register a nick for MP?

This might be a stupid question, but how do I register a nick for MP? When joining the MP server, I get the advice to register my nick on the forums, but I don't know how. The add-on server uses the forum accounts, so once you're registered on the forums you can use the same nick and password to lo...

How to register a nick for MP?

This might be a stupid question, but how do I register a nick for MP?

When joining the MP server, I get the advice to register my nick on the forums, but I don't know how.

I looked at the WIKI, the User Control Panel, and searched this forum, but maybe I looked for the wrong thing?

TIA

Re: V1.9/1.10 SP - Scenario Review: LoW 4 - The Elvish Treas

The bugfix was commited before the release, I can't explain why you still get the error. Did you load from a prestart savegame/previous scenario or from a save during the scenario? If you did the later the wml which is getting used is still the old version. I certainly started the campaign after in...

Re: V1.9/1.10 SP - Scenario Review: LoW 4 - The Elvish Treas

Thank you for the bug report, it's fixed now in svn trunk. Great. Thanks for fixing this. When will this be released? The release date of BfW 1.9.2 was Nov 7 and I'm still getting this problem. Alternatively, can I download just this scenario file from trunk somehow? btw, the assassin was moving in...

Re: mysterious campaign in wiki [split from campaign order]

The add-on is "Saving Elensefar" developped for 1.0.x BfW or earlier. Although the maps look outdated now, the gameplay principle still is refreshingly new because it was unused for all these years despite its goodness. ... of which I am the current maintainer I'm afraid :augh: Though all...

Re: Turn Limit - Can it be turned off?

It might well be that you're not alone in not liking turn limits.
The easiest way to find out is to make a campaign of your own which doesn't have them.
It would surely be quite original because you'd have to find new ways of making it difficult to win.

Re: Armageddon Drake

Decided to make a quick sketch of this unit. I love how it's coming along so far. This is PROBABLY only going to be an alternate portrait, if it gets finished at all. Keep in mind, this is just a rough sketch so far. A finished product would show much more body. I absolutely love how this is turnin...

Re: Scenario Review: LoW 7 - Elves' Last Stand

The point im trying to make concerning green is that there are a lot of actions that do not bother me at all. I actually tabbed out of the game until I heard the turn-bell. I already know up front that green is going to fail, so why should i watch his desperate actions? Er, did you know there is a ...

Re: Saved game for Rise of Wesnoth?

By my standards that looks like a very large amount of gold and a very small amount of leveled units.. It's ages since I last played this campaign, but I distinctly remember having a lot of gold and even less high-level units. I put mostly cannon fodder in the forest (and maybe some healers) and se...
