Vermin makes Jetryl cry......

:D So, I've been swamped in real life with music/band stuff, but I had to do some illustrations for my band. Once I got done with them, I though..."Hey, this technique might be useful for folks doing portraits on the Wesnoth board!!!!" I hang around tattoo shops quite a bit and actually go...

You REALLY need to look at pictures of real armour and see how it's constructed, especially on a piece of art that focuses on the armour. All the shading and anti-aliasing in the world won't help you if the core aspect of what you are drawing is wrong to begin with. My suggestions to make your pictu...

Yeah, I was going for a "wind up" kind of motion, where you see the tension build (sword gets positioned, knee lifts) then WHAM, he throws the flat snap. I intentionally toned down the amount of motion in that frame as a subtle "build up" experiment. Yup, it IS very close to the ...

"I like the outfit design, but she seem a little squat. "

But I only changed one thing, she's just as tall as she was before!!!!!!!

SWEET armour reference, for Italian armour, and all in line drawings, from the front AND the back, on identical "manequins". http://198.144.2.125/Armour/ItalianArmour.htm Note how it's not just gobs of chunky metal stuck here and there, the individual components of each and every suit foll...

Dismounted Units....

I was playing a hotseat game against my girlfriend and sent a knight out WAY behind enemy lines....he got cut off and you can guess the rest. At that point I wondered "Well, what if he just got the horse cut out from under him?" So, we saved the game so we could finish it "for real&qu...

Two more frames. I played with the hair a bit...I may need to start it's transition a frame or two earlier. I didn't have frames 15-16 on my HD for some reason, which was a bit of a  moment, so I couldn't reference from those frames. Anyway, as always, I'm always open for suggestions and CC. ...

Wheellocks make me say bad words.....at high volume. I'm working on restocking a wheellock carbine repro for a friend of mine right now, and holy crap are they cantankerous SOB's.....for one thing the sear mechanism moves horizontally, not vertically like on other firearms....so you can't use a stan...

"And remember, thundersticks are powered by ancient magical dwarven runes crafted by the most skilled of dwarven smiths, not anything as mundane as gunpowder!" Ahhh, ok. Because I was going to suggest that since units in Wesnoth are assumed to have enough ammo to last a whole battle, a thu...
