Re: MP: Dark Forecast (survival)
We were at this for weeks. We tried every combo we could think of that seemed like a good idea. We finally did it. I was the drakes and he had the undead. He threw skellies and zombies at the problems to keep the drakes alive. I ended with 4 lvl 3 units. It wasn't one of those close wins, we had it ...

Re: Is a stand alone windows executable version possible?
Thanks for the link. After reading that I tried copying and pasting the wesnoth folder and running it after uninstalling. It works flawlessly.

Is a stand alone windows executable version possible?
I have a buddy that wants to play wesnoth at work but can't install programs. Is it technically feasible to release a windows version of wesnoth that can be run in a directory, such as a flash drive, without being installed locally? I think I remember running wesnoth in the directory I compiled it i...

Drake v Northerners replay
This is a nice 1v1 fight where I'm the Drakes and my friend is the Northerners. I've never done this well with the drakes before. I've watched the replay and I'm not sure what I should have done differently. I'm thinking I should have had more clashers instead of 1 of the fighters and the skirmisher...

Some matches go like you say, the slow death of whoever did poorly in the first engagement. I remember a match where I tore up some elves in my first 2 encounters with skellies and adepts(6 turns or so?) I had 2/3 of the map(charge I think). He proceeded to recruit tons of trees and mages. A few goo...

Several years ago, before wesnoth was even 1.0, I was new to linux. I had just installed the first release of ubuntu that day and was looking for games. Being the noob that I was I didn't even know that ubuntu had a package manager. I found wesnoth on some games listing website and found the homepag...

pfft, noobs. Isar wasn't anybody special. He was a unremarkable Elvish fighter, fighting for his leader, Supreme Commander Noy. On one fateful evening, with the undead hordes seemingly poised for victory, Isar the Valiant did not retreat, but stood up againt the tyranny of the undead. He held off th...

I love northerners, grunts especially, so I'm always staring at these guys. Overall I always thought the lvl 2 image looked much better than the lvl 1 or lvl 3 images. Though I don't know what you could do to the current lvl 3 image to really fix it. All of these edits just look a little 'forced' if...

female red mage bug
During the female red mage's attack, for what looks like one frame she turns into a guy. I noticed it during TROW even with accelerated speed on in 1.2.

Well I just had a look through the directory, it's only about 100M so I'm not to worried about pileing up different versions ontop one another. The information about different and duplicate versions will be usefull for both having stable and dev versions installed, and for dicking around with as wel...

t3h awesomeness Now for the hard question. How do you install multiple versions? (stable, dev, older) Assuming you compiled them from source in linux, do you just change a variable or install folder somewhere in configure or make or something? For that matter what happens when I install a new version?...

How does wesnoth respond to running multiple instances and playing 2 games at the same time? Would that be possible?
