Re: Lua recruiting example
I don't know lua, but I guess you could define something like
[event]
name=victory
# do something
[/event]
[event]
name=defeat
# do something
[/event]
[event]
name=time over
# do something
[/event]
[event]
name=victory
# do something
[/event]
[event]
name=defeat
# do something
[/event]
[event]
name=time over
# do something
[/event]

Re: Lua recruiting example
Wow, that is very interesting. I planned to do something similar for my own era because I think he does particularly bad there and I recently discussed with a friend about using machine learning for an improvement for the AI. My statement was that it was too complex to come up with anything useful, ...

Re: The Desert Prince
First of all, thanks a lot for your detailed feedback ok, so downloading few kb campaign only to download nearly 2mb era to play that campaign put me off the first time. I suffered that for the next time, and here is my feedback. Well, the era was 600kB until I drew the map of the island. So 1.4MB a...

Re: The Desert Prince
Ok, thanks a lot. Yes, I introduced that the undead trigger that event, too, because Shakeshake warned me that many people might not find it. But I forgot to take care that it doesn't happen in both cases. But I fixed it now.

Re: Era of Ilthan
I created a map in the last few days, that really took me a very long time. Does anybody have an idea how I could use that map except for journeys in campaigns?

Re: The Desert Prince
I should have just waited until I got farther to comment, since the meeting with the dragons after that mission explains the young dragons' overconfidence/reveals the more effective pale dragons! I did managed to make some use of the yellow dragon with his charge attack (although most of the undead...

Re: The Desert Prince
Ok, thanks, I think that is a good idea, I'll also trigger it if the undead come. Yes, the dragons are not as good at fighting undead as they promise. I did that because the dragons, especially the young ones, are big show-offs, in the next scenario, the older dragon says that the young dragons are ...

Re: Ability depending on opponent and own weapon
Ok, thanks again, it works now, I forgot the "first_time_only=no" key, that was why it somehow almost never worked as I expected. But I think it is somehow confusing that the damage is displayed again with this red number. Everyone knows that it is enough damage to kill the other unit, so ...

Re: Era of Ilthan
Thanks, I fixed all of them and lots of other minor things/balancing issues. I also uploaded a campaign I created for our era. It is only a very short (7 scenario) campaign and I just played it through in 3 hours, but I think it helps to get to know the era a little. (see here for the campaign threa...

The Desert Prince
I recently uploaded my campaign "The Desert Prince" to the add-on server. I created it a long time ago, but it had some problems with newer versions, but now I think I fixed them all. It has only 7 scenarios and just played it through in 3 hours, it seemed pretty easy for me, but then, I w...

Ok, sorry for that, I just thought the title seemed to fit his description. I never actually played it yet.

Re: Era of Ilthan
Thanks a lot for your feedback. Yes, the attack names starting with _ floating around is a problem we know about, we once automatically inserted those _ in order to make it translatable, but we didn't notice that this sucks for strings without "" and now we just continuously correct it if ...

Era of Ilthan
A long time ago, my brother and I started a new era. You can still find the original post including descriptions of the peoples here . After a long time of inactivity, we now restart this project. We decided to start a new thread because the old one is filled with very old questions and we don't wan...

Re: Campaign server UTF8 Error
No, I don't use Windows on any of my two computers and my brother neither. Yeah, those where two pictures of my little sister to draw sprites for our era, but that was just for fun and it is definitely a mistake that they ended up in the images/units directory... Thanks a lot. The two names are just...
