Re: Good playing habits and settings each turn

I don't use planning, but in almost every single player or online game I used delay shroud updates, which is probably the most important command that I toggle on/off in a game. Used to be Shift+D, but now as far as I know it's unbinded so I bind it manually to Shift+D (which reminds me, I should bin...

Re: Scenario Review: NR 2 - Infested Caves

(1) What difficulty levels have you played the scenario on? Peasant (Normal) (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 8 - Pretty difficult, I had to restart the scenario several times (I don't like to save/reload in the middle of a scenario). Also, sometimes I restarted the whole campaign...

Re: Please mark your private games...

Some do, some don't. Just like shadowmaster said, people who don't follow a Wesnoth etiquette will usually not read the forums either. Also, newcomers will (and it's normal to be like this) do such "mistakes" frequently. You can't do much to prevent this, so all it's left to do is find ano...

Re: Anybody able to beat two AI opponents?

I would like to commend everyone in this thread (one or two exceptions notwithstanding), for their overwhelming honesty in admitting the normal limitations of their skill. We used to have a huge problem with cocky "gosu-gamers" pretending like no AI can ever beat a human, and that's just ...

Hi there! I just joined the server and saw the announcement. I'd like to register for this too, so if anyone wants to team up with me I'm available.

Re: Anybody able to beat two AI opponents?

I tried it now and played little quick, but still managed to beat it. Settings: Weldyn Channel, default for me, +10 gold income for AI, both random (both got Northerners). Replay attached. Regarding 1vs2 on some 3p map, I remember I tried it in the past and think got beaten, but I'll try again these...

Re: another topic about drakes! (since we don't have enough!

This one is for Loyalists vs. Drakes: Recruit only spearmen and eventually bowmen and attack blindly whatever is in your way. You cannot lose.

Re: Quick Tournament Signup

Hi again! I was on vacation for three days, so I couldn't check this thread in the last few days, sorry for forgetting to announce this. Anyway, I'm available now up to July 10th, so if there are enough players to start this, I'm for it. Edit: I suggest we start this with the current players (if the...

Re: Quick Tournament Signup

I'm still here Caphriel, watching this thread carefully. I'm OK with teams and rules, also, IRC would be a good idea to put this at work in real time.

Re: Number of comments

I don't pay attention much to post count, as long as it's over 100. Normally. Then I know it's a serious member. I judge people as not spam from the content of their posts. Someone who posts with no caps, tons of abbreviations, l33t, no punctuation, and no point to the post is usually a spammer. Ac...

I'd like to participate in this tournament too, this idea sounds very good. I may be able to find some teammates if I can find them in the lobby.

Re: Hero basics

I think usually you have to find a balance between getting him out and recruiting. Usually, this also depends on the hero's hitpoints, movement points, and eventually time of day (I wouldn't leave a Drake lvl2 with leadership in the keep during the day). However, if your leader is frail, like a mage...
