1.1 only has 4.5 corners you can safely be in, meaning someone is going to get screwed unless you have leaver. That's why brown and black need extra income.

Normally I played 1.1 with income balance 0 +1 +2 +3 +6 +9, black and brown really do need extra income to survive.

Not with only 1 unit there, and if someone focused on switzerland instead of securing a corner they would wind up pretty dead.

I said it increased it because I had 1 german village next to 2 empty switzerland villages, previously someone else would have taken one of them, instead I could grab both of them on the second turn. Maybe it doesn't increase it overall, but it's still not fixed as well as I'd like.

Final Thought.

Max Players for the map should be 5. The later you start the more free income, or possibly you should have an extra village so you can claim a corner. The corner bonuses should be reduced slightly and the middle ones increased.

I withdraw from benelux to the UK to signal my neutrality to purple, leaving a lt. on both villages. Blue and purple fight it out in russia while green takes italy. Blue wants me to take russia.
