Re: Wesnoth as a board game
Actually, I haven't done any progress since the last post. The latest thing that I was playing with was to have simpler tokens on the board, and design a "control panel" for the units, where the players could track the status, but it never materialized on anything. The hardest part for me ...

Re: Wesnoth as a board game
ranged attacks over a dictance walls which stop movement, but units can use some stairs to climb onto, and use ranged attacks from ontop of the wall. Prehaps choosing the order of attacks is a bad idea, it may be better to take turns rolling. This is the great thing about a board game, you can add ...

Re: Wesnoth as a board game
I did one, but it looks like the current development is going in a different direction. You can find it on my signature.Kryzyzkowski wrote:I may just be very clumsy, but I can't seem to find a complete set of rules. Does a set exist?

Re: Wesnoth as a board game
For playtesting, we totally need "Wesnoth - The Board Game - The Computer Game". :lol2: Actually, that is not a bad idea, you can tweak the units and the maps to match the board game stats, so you can at least get a feeling of the balance and the easiness of movement. I don't know if you ...

Re: Wesnoth as a board game
I am back to the forums, and I have seen that discussion has evolved from the initial prototype, so I have removed that line from the topic.
Probably I will spend some time with the unit stats, trying to make them fit this format. If I get somewhere, I will let you know.

Re: Wesnoth-Hispano Spanish-speakers BfW community
La idea no es mala, puedes empezar con un foro y un wiki, para que sean los propios usuarios los que definan el contenido, o hacer algo del estilo de un blog si quieres dirigir un poco más los temas. ¿En qué áreas necesitas ayuda?
Re: unit tree
elricz: There seems to be a problem with this translation though: http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/sr_RS@latin/index.html It looks like the problem is on the link on the index.html page, it is hardcoded to the wrong value. It should point to http://units.wesnoth.org/trunk/sr@latin/index.html . I will...

Re: Wesnoth 1.4
I just wanted to report that this version compiles and works great on the eeepc. I followed these instructions on the eeeuser forum, and started the first time with wesnoth -f -r 800x480. Now this tiny laptop travels with me everywhere!
Re: unit tree
I agree that the eras are awfully outdated, I had to do some custom coding for each of them, and it needs a revision. I cannot tell when I will be able to have them ready, but this time I will look for more feedback during the process, as there were things that surely could be done easier. Regarding...
Re: unit tree
Can you be more specific? If I can see some examples, I may be able to tweak the code to solve them.Darker_Dreams wrote:There seem to be a number of broken links in the 1.4 unit tree.
Re: unit tree
Good point, I will put a redirection on those links.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: unit tree
I am not maintaining that page anymore, as http://units.wesnoth.org/ is automated to bring you more versions and translations.Darker_Dreams wrote:you are talking about something like this, I assume.

Perhaps it would be possible to create a script which would check this for all translations: The different units cannot be translated by the same string (only if it would be male and female version of the same type). (I know that providing code is better than providing an idea, but unfortunately th...
