Battle Princess!

Anyways, JW, I was thinking you'd get a kick out of this thread considering the successful Buff Footpads! campaign you orchestrated some time ago.

Yeah, you usually have to ZOC them with a relatively high-HP unit so you can pound them down over two turns.

I should also point out that having to wait through 8 strikes is probably kind of annoying, especially if it's on a unit that's going to be attacking a lot.

I'm going to add "Foresthome" and "Waterhome" to the Vine Beast and Tidal respectively. This will give the units +2 Regen on forest or shallow/deep water respectively. I upped the cost of the Tidal to compensate. Er, the Foresthome regen doesn't seem to be working. Actually, the...

Erm, sorry, what's "onceover" mean?

Anyways, I'm content to wait for the new release.

Yeah, that's a better way of putting it. =T

Basically, by making a successful killing blow, you're also avoiding (potentially a lot of, in my example) retaliation damage, which could be "expected," in a certain sense.

So in other words, the EV's are the same whether a Horseman charges a Mage on grassland, killing it in one blow or a Drake Clasher on hills, killing it in one blow? If so, I'd agree with EP's Personally, I'd prefer it to store the expected damage for each whole fight, so that, for example, missed da...

Who said they are woodsman? That makes absolutely no sense when you consider that it's nowhere in their description and it takes them 2mp to go through forest. 1. There is a near textbook circular reasoning here: they need 2mp to move through forests -> they aren't woodsmen they aren't woodsmen -> ...

Not to mention that a chess board looks the same each time. I think someone could probably write perfect AI openings per-faction for each of the multiplayer maps given a shroud-on or fog-of-war-on setting (so the AI wouldn't have to deal with counter-recruiting, which obviously looks different each ...

Am I the only one who keeps getting this error where some units show up with the short-long ranges? Examples today included the Boatsman, Fey, and Hippo-rider (I think). This after I deleted the Imperial Era folder and re-downloaded from the server, too.

I think three damage ranges (melee, ranged, spirit OR mental) would be fun. I agree with the glass-cannon comment up above; I think the retaliation system is one of the best things about Wesnoth and four ranges would interfere a lot with that.

Are we supposed to report bugs in this thread, or in the faction's individual threads?

The level 1 advancement of the Wolf Cub inherits the dotted elipse of the level 0. Fun era, though! Wolf Cubs are the new Zerglings. =]

EDIT: The level 2, too.
