Re: Wesnoth 1.14.0 — New Horizons Update

Typo on the main website, Release Notes page https://www.wesnoth.org/start/1.14/
"ingrate" should be "integrate"
The page is very well written and made me keen to play/contribute, so i hope more translators join up (only 3 languages are currently available).

Re: Wesnoth month names

There are seasons, to be sure, but i havent seen a campaign that depends on precise month names or ordinals. They always move forward watch by watch, day by day.

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.12 (1.14 RC 1)

You can check the file wesnoth-1.13.12/build/config.log for details why the Boost check failed. There is more than one Boost dev lib required.

Also, i am pleased to say it compiled without problems on devuan ascii (like debian stretch without systemd dependencies).

Re: Wesnoth 1.13.11 (1.14 Beta 3)

1.13.11 compiles fine on debian Jessie using the wiki instructions.
1.13.12 will need Stretch to compile on debian, due to boost libs 1.56. i was meaning to upgrade OS anyway :)

Re: [mainline] Changing the Dunefolk's(Khalifate's) race nam

The discussion in this topic so far has failed to make any argument that the Dunefolk are not human, though there is lots about being a distinct faction. So i do not understand why leading poll item shows them as a distinct race :hmm: unless people dont like the two piece name as much and really wan...

Re: [mainline] Changing the Dunefolk's(Khalifate's) race nam

Who are the Clans from the eastern provinces of Wesnoth continent? I dont recall a campaign with them. Maybe the "Khalifate" are (one of) them.

Can they be a faction similar to the Outlaws?

Re: English proofreading + French version for campaigns

I am one of those who commissioned some art for an add-on. I don't think it devalues the contributions of volunteers - the work is still accepted / rejected / critiqued / improved on its own merits, and it becomes part of this Free Software/Open Source project. I could put some coin toward a small p...

Re: Let's (try to) expand the great continent!

I left in that southernmost bit mainly to mesh with this idea . Well, this basically ruined like half of my ideas about the d&d, but it will be very useful, thanks for the link! :D (tangent) The company that "owns" d&d is rabidly zealous about copyright and derivative works by fans, to the point th...

Re: Nightfall [SP Deep Elves Campaign for 1.13]

Some error messages i saw in the console when loading the add-on (and its dependency The Deep Elves automatically): Checking lua scripts... ok 20171120 00:40:21 error addons-client: add-on 'Gweddyn_the_Ruler' has an icon which cannot be found: 'units/player/rulerking.png~RC(magenta>green' 20171120 0...

Re: Nightfall

There doesnt seem to be a new thread for this campaign which Kwandulin seems to have adopted, according to the add-ons server.
(UPDATE: rest of message moved to correct thread)

Re: Is it possible to gain experiences by healing/leading?

What if there were two promotion tracks created for leading/healing units, depending on which sort of experience they accumulated. Elvish shamans, for example, would automatically go to the Druid advancement if they mostly healed. The Druid could have its combat abilities slightly reduced as well be...

Re: The Hammer of Thursagan

Yes it did seem a lot easier this time around. I played at normal level. Especially the 2nd last scenario might have been more challenging as well - the orcs didnt do much to slow me down.
