Re: The Unstoppable Legion ported to 1.12

Thanks. I'll have a look at that and see what else I can do to balance that scenario.

Re: The Unstoppable Legion ported to 1.12

Turn 8? Interesting. Different to how I playtested it. Didn't realise it was feasible to take on the Dark Champion that early.

I don't suppose you've got a replay of that?

Re: The Unstoppable Legion ported to 1.12

Hmm, that doesn't sound right. What turn did this happen on?

Re: The Unstoppable Legion ported to 1.12

Now up to six scenarios. I am making progress, honest.

The Unstoppable Legion ported to 1.12

Okay, whilst I have a spare moment, I have started porting The Unstoppable Legion to version 1.12 of Wesnoth. Only three scenarios are ready so far, but I hope to get the rest of the scenarios ported sooner rather than later.

Enjoy.

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

Hi.

Work's been on hold for months because I've been busy, but next week when things FINALLY get quiter I will work on porting this to 1.12. I might even try to finish it.

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

And now, introducing version 0.8.11. Unfortunately, I can't think of a vague amusing tagline to tie in the fact it's Easter Monday, so I'll just have to say this adds scenario 19b, so whichever way you went from The Last Stand, you can now go as far as scenario 20. I have tested scenario 20 for func...

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

How much gold is one supposed to start with in the last killer scenario? Not as much as you had. The loophole that enabled you to rack that the humungous amount of gold has now been closed, and it should no longer be possible to win The Wrath of the Stone the way you did. Under most circumstances, ...

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

Any now, version 0.8.10. This is a killer scenario, but if you survive it, you are rewarded with a major plot twist at the end. Please let me know if you consider this scenario too hard or too easy. It was a tough one to balance, but it does, but its very nature, have to be a skin-of-the-teeth survi...

It's okay, I worked it out for myself about 10 minutes before you replied, but thanks anyway.

Where do stored units go in savegames?

Quick question: I'm trying to copy a stored unit from one savegame to another savegame for debug purposes, but I can't find it anywhere. Do you know where I should find it?

Alternatively, how hard is it to create a stored unit in debug mode?

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

It's Christmas, the season for good will. Extradoinary things have happened in this season, such as the famous football match in the trenches in 1914. An inspring where war was shown to be senseless. Luckily, Christmas hasn't been invented in Wesnoth or Suveran, so it's business as normal. For your ...

Re: The Unstoppable Legion is back!

*Bump* Right, sorry for the quiet period. Anyone who's been e-stalking me will know that other things have been keeping me busy for a few months. But I now have a quiet moment, so here is The Unstoppable Legion verison 0.8.8. I'm afraid I've ignored popular demand to get on with the campaign and ins...

Re: Luck?

If we're using the slavery analogy, the obvious response is that slavery is unfair, but that was the reality of the situation. It would be ludicrous to demand all references to slavery get removed in a computer game about the American Civil War because we disapprove of slavery. Similarly, you may th...

Re: Change [leader_goal] mid-scenario

I've actually sorted it now. I wanted to add a leader goal on turn 4 and remove it at turn 9. However, the macros provided to add and remove leader goals are confusing because they don't clearly state how you're supposed to use them. (In an [event] tag? In a [modify_ai] tag?) Anyway, in the end I ga...
