You are getting better, but they are a bit blurry. They should be a bit more aliased, sharpened, IMO.

It's quite a good start. For this image, you should try to fix the arms, and the hips should probably be one pixel wider. Even at this size, you have some space for details and shading. Try to put these in. The last: Wesnoth sprites do have black outlines, because they would look too undefined in-ga...

I tried to consider your comments and to draw a more clean picture. Here it is.

You don't need to be talented in drawing to do sprites, actually. It can help you, but is no must. And I got into it with TCing, too.

I'll try to add a glow and a flickering flame to the pillager. (and, for the overlay's sake, I'll do it with layers)
