Re: County of Beichlingen update: Version 0.6.3
I just recently discovered this campaign and it's become my favorite. One of the things I hate about ending a campaign is I have a pile of troops I worked so hard to keep alive and level and then poof they are done. Nothing more to do with them. I've been looking for a good open ended campaign and t...

Re: A New Order (ANO) campaign - version 1.1.2
When is AI as an ally anything but a distraction. They serve their purpose soaking up the attention of the Orcs and the Darknite long enough to kill off the Akladians and Highwaymen. I sent a couple mages to go after stray trolls and that was enough help for them to survive until I could kill the Ak...

Re: A New Order (ANO) campaign - version 1.1.2
Yup, played it all the way through twice. I really like this campaign. Wisemen being weak is one thing. Especially at first level. In a way I guess it does balance as the 3rd level troops except Akladians are way tougher than 3rd or 4th level anything else. One on one a Halbardier or Royal Guard or ...

Re: A New Order (ANO) campaign - version 1.1.2
Just finished the campaign for the first time. Enjoyed it. I figured most of the grammar errors were attempts at giving players accents. I would like to see the campaign go on and to get some of those troops I worked so hard at leveling back LOL. That spot where it makes me choose only 12 of my men ...

Thank you everybody. I have lots of stuff to try out to get the gold thing settled. Started a new thread with the campaign attached. On the Orc Watchman, thanx. If I can set an on attack value that should suffice for what I want to do. Too bad on the backstab ability. The goal of this particuler sce...

World is Mine
Ok this is a first attempt at a campaign so it's pretty strait forward. There is no art work to speak of yet. No special new units or complicated plot twists. The campaign though does lead to the largest battles in Wesnoth that I am aware of. I haven't added the music yet. Had a large chunk of it co...

I'm using Campgen under Linux and it's run very well for me so far. There are a couple minor issues I am having. It has to be called from inside it's own dir. Using a shell script only works if I cd to the dir where it is then run the executable. I cannot do something like /~/campgenx.x/campgen &...

A few questions
I've been developing some campaigns. One of them is rather grandiose. The last couple of maps involve very large armies. I am running into the same problem that happens on the mystery campaign. Leaders who refuse to spend but a faction of their gold. In the mystery campaign I'll kill the enemy leade...

Northern Rebirth
This campaign is BRUTAL. The first scenario tripped me up right way my first try. I attempt every scenario with a zero casualty goal. Of couse you have to lose some folks here and there. When it comes to peasents fighting Orcs I had to completely rethink things and against every Wesnoth instinct I h...

Depends on the scenario. I actually find hard easier on some parts of campaigns. The reason is you level so many more troops. I played the first couple campaigns on easy, then went through the same campaigns on medium then on hard. Except for one campaign I really struggled with at first on hard I p...

The trapdoor is always directly West of the keep. So it's important that you keep your leader near where the trapdoor will appear and that you can get to it. In this scenario I've had more luck playing a defensive game. I buy Heavy Infantry and Mages mostly. I use a single calvaryman to grab a coupl...

New multiplayer interactions.Rank,totals,Kingdoms
First, as an avid Wesnoth player I have to say that I greatly enjoy the game and so does almost everybody I've talked too or introduced to the game. One thing I've heard asked about and that would attract lots of players as well as keeping them playing would be more long term effects. That is all th...

1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? Hard on both versions. (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) The only restart I had to do on 1.1.2 was when I left Zhul exposed because a 1 hit point enemy survived two different units attacks. With 1.0.2 I br...

(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? Hardest (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) To beat the scenario itself is not difficult. To do so and still have enough gold to have a chacne in the next scenario is brutal. I've beaten this scenario repea...

I personally like the traits. Keeping them random does change your stratigy to an extent. I often don't pay enough attention to them yet. Still I'm pleasently surprised. I would like to seme traits purchasable by hiring a merc for example who is good in mountains, or water or some similer terain spe...
