Re: Legend of Wesmere - Multiplayer Campaign Port
I cannot even begin to get past Costly Revenge scenario on the easy setting, and I am a very good player. I even worked on developing this campaign years ago. Overall, LoW was my favorite campaign, but now I want to see this scenario massively changed. Am I missing something?

keep it up
It has been a while since I checked in. I am sorry that I have not been available to help much, and I am glad that you are doing so much, I played LoW recently and was floored at the new artwork and tweaks. Thanks for taking up the call, so that others might enjoy your work! This campaign is an epic...

second thought
I did much better the second time once I got the strategy down. Still, it may be a tough campaign for extreme newbies.

ouch
I don't claim to be very good using the undead race, but I played on easy and had my ass handed to me. Is it too hard for the easy mode? I will give it another try.

couple updates
Alright, I have updated LoW with a couple of changes. First, the traits modifications were changed, thanks to Sly's input. Second, I have started a utils folder with a deaths.cfg file. I have gone through the scenarios and deleted the event, name=die, tags, and have added the line pointing to the de...

I had to laugh at your comment. What kind of friends travel on opposite sides of a river? I will think of way to explain this in the story.

ai improved
Okay, I think I have Kalenz taking a more defensive role in the first scenario, as opposed to the mad blaze of glory that he had taken in the past. I also reduced the number of augurs and took out the orcish crossbows. Both of these characters could overwhelm the wose with a powerful ranged attack. ...

i see what you mean
Sorry for the delay. I work in a binge like fashion, based on the level of work I am doing on my Phd dissertation. For the last couple of weeks that has taken over my time (which is really the way it should be, but hey). I watched the replay you posted. I had not tried the game on hard mode yet, and...

money issue
Well, the money issue can be difficult. I have no fast advice for you. The only thing I can say is that you should spend as little as possible in the scenarios before it :). I know it's not a very helpful comment, but that is the essence of what needs to be done. After you play some of the scenarios...

saurian's achilles heal
The key to this scenario is staying in the woods as elves. Also, before you get here--and whenever you play elves in my opinion--get a long list of elvish sorceress', enchantress', sylphs, druids, and shydes. Not only are they fast enough to avoid the pierce of most saurians, but they shoot cold bla...

glad you enjoyed it...but
I am happy to see you all had fun playing the old version of Elves and Wose. As the designer of that campaign, I have decided that it encroached too much on the intellectual property of the original LOW, designed by Santi. As a result, I have overhauled this campaign completely. If you have the old ...

gnump3d setup?
I use a great program in Linux called GNUMP3D, which allows me to browse my music collection from anywhere on the internet via a password. I had the thought that this program would be perfect for serving this particular forum as a companion site. It would make it possible to browse and stream the di...

sounds good
I really think that this music is quite enjoyable. I don't like the harpsi-chord sounding instrument that comes in after a few seconds, but it can be lived with. I am trying to picture what this would sound like after repeating 20 or 30 times. And, I think it passes the test as well as most songs of...

favorite: Elvish Sylph least favorite: Elvish Sharpshooteer Okay, the Sylph is the best unit there is. She flies, she is hard to hit in the forest, and she deals a hell of a lot of damage against most units. It's almost as much power as a Great Mage, but with wings. I have used Sylphs to go in on an...
