Re: New logo translations: Speakers of ALL languages needed!
Marathi (mr): http://forums.wesnoth.org/download/file.php?id=68253 Marathi, with a different font that might better match with the latin versions: http://forums.wesnoth.org/download/file.php?id=68256 As a non-Marathi-speaking Devanagari-reader I’d say these look OK. The fonts used in the images abo...

Re: The new Wesnoth logo and the Loyalist sigil
First, welcome back and thanks for all your work, Sgt. Groovy! I really like how this logo is coming along. Hopefully not to distract from your work on the logo, but regarding the licensing of Typographer Rotunda... someone may wish to look this up further. Dieter Steffmann writes in several comment...

While I have no preferences for the portraits-in-making, … …these concepts’ poses caught me off guard and I’ve been smiling and snickering for a while now. :mrgreen: (All made me smile. No. 6 caught me snickering, the pose is just fantastic. And, in my mind, the tails of the higher level version wer...

Re: Monsters!
Great work, Zero! :) Lurking, non-artist warning: What is given as numbers one to three is what I see on the “internet”, while the depicted number four is what I see in nature. (Former biology student thinking.) Again, numbers one to three looks like early Nintendo games while number four looks like...

Re: Wesnoth font project
Great to see someone working on fonts! I became curious about how many characters in which scripts Wesnoth uses... In case anyone else is curious: Basic Latin (0000–007F): 93 Latin-1 Supplement (0080–00FF): 75 Latin Extended-A (0100–017F): 86 Latin Extended-B (0180–024F): 6 Greek and Coptic (0370–03...

Re: How Fast Is Your Internet Connection Speed?
1. Down/up: usually 10+/30+ Mbit/s (almost never below the advertised 10/10 Mbit/s)
2. About EUR 20–25 or USD 20–30 per month
3. Domain name as well as the usual e-mail accounts and homepage space
4. Quite so; somewhat expensive but a rather good deal compared with the competitors

Re: Suggestion: small reorganisation of units.wesnoth.org
Where is the front page code located? I could only find the unit listing code in the Subversion repository. Also spotted this in the stylesheet, only relevant line shown:
Code: Select all
td.race {
font-weight: bstand;
}

Re: Some Suggestions for Improving the GUI & General Appeara
First, sorry for “barging” in on a closed dev topic . I’m not sure whether this is the right route (posting in an open forum) or if I should have sent some PMs or done nothing at all instead. Thing is, with combinations of quick, strong and resilient, the order of the traits does make a difference a...

Re: The state of the ~2005 game industry
I was just thinking that why not combine a webcomic with a webgame: a comic that has an minigame level at the end of each chapter, which you have to complete in order to unlock the next chapter. Various takes on this exist in some web comics (or interactive fiction, perhaps) made in flash. Both as ...

I’m taking the liberty of reusing this old thread since it the same topic.
While the actual game screen looks alright, the opening screen has some too wide side margins imho, especially to the right of the main menu. (Using a 1366x768 resolution.)

Splendid idea, I hope you go through with it!
I have looked for something like this halfheartedly for some time now, just to get a grasp of the basics, without much success.

Re: SURVEY: A (Hopefully) More Accurate Popularity Contest
First things first: I dislike this genre of games, I don’t really enjoy playing Wesnoth, though I love the feel of the game . I do not play much or often, when I do it is on the easiest difficulty and alone or with close friends. (My favourite Wesnoth-related thing to do is to follow the development...
