Re: artisticdude's art, currently meandering about aimlessly
Another armored guy (no more squids, but armored dudes really float my boat :P ). Its pretty good, but I dont really like his posture - namely his right(from us) leg. It looks dynamic all right, but it tears my heart of a guy who do historical fencing; his knee would be crushed by first oponent who...

Re: Lu Mongs (really terrible) art
Hmm, you're right about the 'strange stuff '. :P It doesn't blend well with the rest of the body. Over all, the belt may need more defined outlines. (especially the part that hangs down). Yeah. On that you are sadly very right. But I am not really sure how to make it more... consistent :roll...

Re: Interface: Plan Mode (or rather Plan Window)
You don't play that much in MP do you? I mean "the server" not hotseat or LAN. Nope. Only LAN. If there is really a lot of difference, then you are right and I have no idea what are you talking about. But until now I was pretty sure that LAN and server are only different in type of commun...

Re: Lu Mongs (really terrible) art
I widened his head a bit(2 pixels seemed to much). I tried to make his belt better in perspective. I edited the outlines a bit. I tried to chnge the lower right part, but I am nor really sure if its any better. And I did second version with the tentacles.

Re: Interface: Plan Mode (or rather Plan Window)
I didn't say time wasn't a factor, but there are a variety of factors that keep people from playing big maps. One of them is that faction balance deteriorates on very large maps. No, there is no other reason except for time (every reason you can think of is direct outcome of time, or negligible). B...

Re: Lu Mongs (really terrible) art
Actually, I'm afraid I'm responsible for those lines (don't accuse poor TSI of my awful critique :P ). Hell! Sorry about that. I guess that the forum tried to be smarter than me and was succesfull. Again.(Ill try to edit it  ) That's fine - but the reaction only makes sense in a campaign set ...

Re: Lu Mongs (really terrible) art
...purple KKK? You got me. With your permision, I will add this as a first reaction of one of the heroes on meeting him - when/if I make the scenario. He seems to lack hands This is actualy intended - I plan an attack animation where he attacks with tentacles he has instead of arms. (maybe I will t...

Re: Interface: Plan Mode (or rather Plan Window)
In the sense of getting things done, "Who is going to code it?" is the most important question when it comes to a new feature. If you're not capable of or interested in coding something yourself, posting an idea is basically asking someone else to do the work. Or, the entire discussion is...

Re: Lu Mongs (really terrible) art
I must admit, I am pretty impressed with your art, considering you haven't been doing it very long. Thanks. Its really nice to hear... er... read. :D I also did my first try of completly non-Frankesteined unit. It is supposed to be lvl3 unit, unique for a single scenario as a leader. I made him pre...

Re: Interface: Plan Mode (or rather Plan Window)
I doubt that this is that difficult to make or that there are "tons of technical difficulties". Well. It is not that difficult. But it is still a lot of code. There is no feature in Wesnoth upon which you could base this idea - so this would need lot of programing(I may be wrong, since I ...

Re: Interface: Plan Mode (or rather Plan Window)
Who is going to code all this, exactly? Oh, come on. This is ideas section. It is quite important to first decide if a feature is usefull/important/popular and then comes the realization that nobodys gonna write the code. Dissmissing an idea only because I am not sure who will do the code is not re...

Re: Swedish military faction
Also I don't mean to nitpick but the name sniper should go to the lvl3 - perhaps its different in swedish army, but the marksman/sharpshooter is mostly considered just a common specialist in the squad, while the sniper is something along special forces due to his training and different use - just m...

Re: Lu Mongs (really terrible) art
No, not the idea of a flying eye. The concept of the D+D monster, the Beholder, a flying, magic casting eyeball with a big toothy mouth and lots of little eyes on stalks around it. Flying eye, fine. Beholder, not fine. Fair enough. I will bear it in mind. Thanks for pointing out. I would suggest ma...
