Re: What are you reading right now?
I just finished Hugo von Hoffmannsthal "Death and the Fool".
Guess in English it's not as good as in the German original, still I can absolutely recommend it.
For the German readers, there is a review at my blog.

Which commands have you found?
Did you use them correctly?
You'll have to give us a little bit more of information before we can help you.

You'll have to type "m" first, then the chatline opens.
Also take a look at these useful commands.

Well, the OpenOffice download site says otherwise.Kalajel wrote:Yeah, that I wouldn't know; I've been looking for the version of OpenOffice that works on Mac OSX 10.3.9 (IIRC it's 2.1.0 or 2.2.0), and it's nowhere to be found on the internet…Thanatos wrote:Or - much cheaper - OpenOffice.

Re: Keep unit tree info when updating to a new version.
You don't get my point: I am just being realistic. I use the possibilities which are available at the time. Sure, this feature would be nice to have. But as I watch this forum for four years now, this feature request will get a low priority because there is an easy solution to that problem which nee...

Re: Keep unit tree info when updating to a new version.
Ah, remember the Apple Human Interface Guidelines? You know, "the computer should never make the user do things the computer can do itself"? You know, because the entire point of a computer is to do things for the user ? Man, those were the times, right? Too bad the computers are the owne...

Request New Forum Feature: Save thread to disk
Well, the title says everything. I saw this feature in another forum once and think it would be useful especially for the Off-Topic-Section. It would be nice if I could save some of the discussions happening there on my disk with a simple click. I just googled a bit and couldn't find an answer to th...

Re: What are you reading right now?
Possibly not, but you're definately welcome. One who reads Plato just for fun is highly appreciated here. ;) To add something on-topic: Yeah, after my last Camus I am somehow continuing what I started. A three-book delivery just arrived. All Camus. Think I'll start with his essay called "The Re...

Re: Keep unit tree info when updating to a new version.
I guess that if you like the slow-reveal-feature and purposely have it on, then it would make sense to have some sort of thing to import settings etc. from the last version of wesnoth installed, but that'd require coding and probably isn't a very high priority...? As I said earlier: Importing setti...

Re: Keep unit tree info when updating to a new version.
Why don't you just copy your user data folder and use it for the newer version of the game?
Problem solved. No further effort needed.
Also there are numerous threads in this forum showing how to unmask the unit descriptions manually.

Just to quote something Stan Marsh and Kyle Broflowski are saying quite regulary at the end of a South Park episode (minimally adapted to fit here):
"You know, you learned something today."

Re: What is everyone's favorite movie at the moment?
Just as a contra-reaction to Star Trek XI, which I happened to see just now on pay-per-view: All Star Trek movies before number eleven! Especially all the even numbers, which used to be the better ones (The Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home, The Undiscovered Country, First Contact *sigh* memories, I te...
