By now you should have 2 Desert Druids, so send one group against each leader and have a Druid with each bunch. Northern Wraith fields wraiths, but the rest of them are fleshy units that are easy prey to blade and arrow, especially if on the sands. So send your levelled Fighters and Archers. Hunters...

Some things to remember when fighting undead, is that first of all, they have amazing resistance to piercing and bladed (slash) weapons; thus, the footpads are a great asset, as both their melee and ranged attacks are impact damage type. Also, be mindful of the time of day: footpads and undead do th...

Choosing east or north in HttT: Bay of Pearls*some spoilers*
I'm playing the Bay of Pearls scenario for the second time, and decided that instead of going for the small cage like I did last time, I'd go for the bigger cache up north. Imagine my surprise when the nagas and bats swam (flew) south towards my wading ground units instead of engaging the mermen! I ...

I've run into this problem under saving elensefar on bfw 1.01. Aparently, the game is looking for the artwork in the wrong directory. Default [unit].cfg file assumes that the game knows to look for the art in images/units, but it doesn't. I fixed this by adding a ../images/units/ to every image loca...

The time limit totally owned me the first time I played the Isle. Northern lich dead, after some losses (damned adepts), at which time I ran straight towards the southern boss, only to have the last turn expire  This was on .8x, and I've just upgraded, so I'll do Son of the Black Eye first, th...

I don't particularly like swarming tactics, I prefer using a unit to its fullest potential, which is very effective even with level 1 units. After playing Isle of the Damned in HttT, I think I can say that I learned a lot about tactics; at the very least I understood them a lot more than before. It ...

The main thing you'll want to do here is to divide the orc leader's army, that always makes any scenario much easier. Send units in both directions, either fast units that can harrass a squad, or sturdy units that can take a beating for longer, giving your main force time to acheive its objective. R...
