No mythology holds a spirit with a bow as a recognizable and distinct symbol(as far as I could tell). No word as 'sniper', 'hunter' would do also(private opinion). What about: Tomb Guardian? What further comes to my mind is that in many mythologies bow symbolizes sudden death (Nordic, Greek). Bowman...

I don't find it useful, but on the other hand I see no reason to delete it. I don't care about people who go to bar and try to get a girl saying: "Hi, I'm so cool, I have more than 1000 posts on Wesnoth forum.". Let it be, I still come to Wesnoth from time to time to redo all campaigns and...

I'm still thinking about this concept. However I stuck completely in MtG - what swallows lots of my time, as well as working in school for 'special' kids (mostly expelled from other schools). What I can do, is to post a complex self-explaining document, that would clarify legibly, what the idea of c...
I was one of the users, who actually used those sprites for the first time, but eventually they got replaced, and project was abandoned at some stage.Ryorin wrote:Don't change it sabata, no one used the original except the original phantom lords. You can keep it however you like.

I'm for Haibane's variation. However, some few more details could be nice - just to make it clear, that this is a village not tree infested by woodpeckers. I don't know - maybe some pallisade.
Another thing that cannot be done, I guess.joshudson wrote:If you do this, please make it so that these advancements won't be chosen at random in multiplayer.
I'll take some abandoned elves sprites and include them as an alternate advancement line, just for the case of testing.
This would be handy if you spend all your money, and the nature of the scenario then changes and you need different troops - for example, if your twelve Dwarvish Warriors get suddenly ambushed by a large number of Drakes, you could advance them to Thunderers or Guards in order to get piercing weapo...
In other words - Classic advancement Elvish Fighter/lvl1/ --> Elvish Hero/lvl2/ Alternate advancement Elvish Fighter/lvl1/ can advance to other lvl1 unit. He gains no stats, but he can uncover more powerful branches of advancement Elvish Fighter/lvl1/ ---> Elvish Noble/lvl1/ -----> Elvish Kill-every...
Something that came to my mind, and has potential. I called it alternate advancement . Unit(lvl1) advances to two types of lvl2 and one type of lvl1 - considerably weak . With second option unit doesn't really advance, just changes it character. Let's say Elvish Fighter advances to Elvish Noble(with...

You need more than concept. You need something distinctive, included in: *background(historical background) *flaws(some factions have cheaper units, some have poorer resistances) *advantages(will it be melee-superior race? or multi-damage-type versatile type?) *UNIQUE attribute(whenever talking abou...
