Large map of Wesnoth
This is a map of Wesnoth that I made for fun in my spare time. It's a pretty large (87x60) campaign-within-a-scenario type map. I tried to follow canon (especially from the various campaigns) as best as possible, though I had to cut edges sometime (ex: No way to include the Dwarven tunnels as well a...

I agreed. So I reduced the gold amount of the various orcs. After that, they only had three castles worth of recruits each... still a lot, but at least bearable. In the Eastern Flank, I managed to win quickly (9 turns) using a gambit - I only recruited a few elite soldiers with Tallin, while I recru...

Perhaps this would be the line: Level 0: Levy Crossbowman Cost: 5 HP: 15 Resistance: normal Dagger: 2-2 (blade) Crossbow: 8-1 (pierce) Level 1: Professional Crossbowman Cost: 15 HP: 30 Resistance: 20% pierce, otherwise normal (given armor against enemy arrows.) Dagger: 4-2 (blade) Crossbow: 11-2 (pi...

Bug: In scenario four (Battle of Barnon), I sent my experienced (recalled) forces to attack Castle Barnon. However, Urie van Roe (another lord, to the southeast) says that I'm attacking HIM instead, and gets reinforcements. In actuality, all my experienced units were in the north, and some Warriors ...

Simply put, it is impossible to do that. No matter how quickly you can fire an arrow, it takes time to take an arrow out of a quiver, nock it, aim, and fire. You cannot do so in one or two seconds; the best longbowmen could do it in perhaps four (really stretching it) or five seconds. And that is de...

They would have much higher number of attacks then Elvish archers. Remember, the best longbowmen could only launch 10-15 arrows/minute. A chu ko nu can launch 40-60 bolts in a minute. That's a very significant difference. I'm thinking something more like this: Repeating Crossbowmen (The chu ko nu wa...

I would like to offer a suggestion: When you change Tallin into a Lieutenant, perhaps include an option that if he's a level 3 unit, then change him into a General instead. I had spent painstaking effort advancing him to a Royal Guard, and so I was upset to see him 'downgraded' to a Lieutenant. EDIT...

The level 0 crossbowmen should be able to either upgrade into heavy crossbowmen (only name I could think of) with stronger attack, or repeating crossbowmen. Some information about repeating crossbows: Repeating crossbows have a long history, with the oldest accurate written knowledge dating back to ...

Idea: Dwarven Ranged Unit
Looking at other posts, I've seen that many people complain about the lack of variety of Dwarven ranged units. This complain is typically countered by the answer that Dwarves don't seem like the type of people who would use bows. Since Dwarves seem like a more 'mechanical' type of faction, I propose...
