I'd like to stress that not everyone on wesnoth is like that, and that theres not a great deal we can do to stop them acting or playing like that, we on the forums are generally much more polite. We'd be happy to play with and teach you if you want. However with more and more players these people be...

Another simple trick is that units with no further advancement have purple xp bars, compared to normal ones that are blue (or white if close to levelling)

Im 16 now and first found the game when i was 12, i started playing it at 13 and haven't really stopped, and I've always been 'just about to start contributing'. Being 16 rules, probably because I am at that perfect point between school and college and also 15 wasn't a great year.

Since when were traits given by race? Aren't strong, quick, resilient, fearless and intelligent universal? (with exceptions) Aren't the only other traits healthy and dextrous? Also why wouldn't giving the traits to all units be more KISS? EDIT: Forgot undead, but my point still stands, also I've nev...

This isn't really an FPI but it is an idea that we all know what the response will be, a dev will say "no thanks but you're welcome to do it yourself" and then somebody else will suggest that it it would be a cool ability and then there will be some discussion and then it will die.

Well the arrow could be immaterial. It could, I don't know, be shot by a magic bow, possibly.

Are you still too busy working on storm of steel zookeeper or is it that RotL has been left by the wayside? I hope not because it had a lot of promise.

Welcome back Maeglin, I think your absence has been noticed, in fact with the amount of FPI's and Meta-threads and Meta-threads on FPI's, it has been quite conspicuous

I think the biggest advantage flyers have is the ability to steal the contested villages with ease, where other units would have trouble defending them, for exdample 20, 26 and 20, 29. This would also reduce the , admitttedly small, risk of first player advantages.

Understandable comments, but I chose roze's maps as examples because I thought they would be the most relevant to F8, otherwise I would of just pointed him to the map digest page.

I've never had any [major] problems with Roze's maps, you're right about the balance though, they're aren't as balanced as the ones from mainline, but they are an excellent starting point.

Well I would imagine it would be used in the opening story where Kaleh mentions that fire was falling from the sky briefly.

Download Roze's maps, in the pack there is a map with a similar idea to this called whirlwind. Roze is an excellent map maker and you should look at some of his maps to learn how to make aesthetically appealing maps that are still balanced, which is what you seem to be trying to do, also think about...

What era is this faction supposed to be in? I remember something about being in the imperial era, I think that would work well especially with them only having 3 playable factions so far.
