The losses seem low for not save loading often... the kills do though. Well I did save load (and not so rarely to tell the truth), but solely from the begining of a scenario - with an exclusion of when I made really silly mistakes... My suggestion was that it is a difference between real and EV dam...

Evaluated damage in Statistics window
In the end of HttT I had: Damage Inflicted 28969 Damage Taken 14886 Damage Inflicted (EV) 28946.1 Damage Taken (EV) 15535.3 I noticed some differences (in my favour) between real and EV values. And since I play with minimum save-loading, I wonder if such a difference is normal? BTW what's the method...

I, as a player, like to discover things, like for example the unit upgrades you'll eventually get to in campaigns, so for me, starting out with everything available isn't the way to got. I'm agree. I recently completed HttT and it was very intresting to find something new in every scenario. I feel ...

Re: Making Wesnoth less frustrating
Sorry for the resurrection (sic! :)) of this trend, but: What I think is that on easy levels, units of level 2+ that are 'killed' in a scenario should simply be considered wounded, and forced to withdraw from combat for the remainder of the scenario. Then they can be recalled as normal during the ne...

No terrain name information in 0.9.6 - is it right?
There was a terrain name in the upper right corner in 0.9.5 - but it disappeared now in 0.9.6. I wonder if that is an intentional change or just a minor bug? In either case I don't like this change - it was handily to have a hint about what you see (especially for a new player). For example villages...

Re: Thanks!
Agreed. I think some explanations on this matter (even if very short) would be useful.novafsck wrote: I was trying to figure out how to update to 0.9.6, and I really just needed a concrete example of the process to point me in the right direction. I think information like this should be added to the FAQ!

Re: Mermen?
Do you mean that you used mermen as your main defence force in this scenario?Glowing Fish wrote:Did you have any Mermen? They are good at holding the river.

Well, people have different leveling priorities... you have to husband the enemy XP and decide where you're going to allocate new levels. For example Filin had 2 White Mages and a Red Mage at the beginning of this level, plus a Rogue. It took me until Sceptre of Fire, I think, to get my second Whit...
