Re: Python Toolchain - Moving forward.
a Wesnoth IDE for WML developersTetha wrote: In fact, why'd you even need to run wmllint manually? We could go ahead and beef up GUI.pyw with inotify or equivalent tools to just run wmllint if you save files, so you get immediate feedback about the state of your code.

Re: Python Toolchain - Moving forward.
If we decide to split the Python tools into their own repo, maybe git subtree could be an option It allows to include a snapshot of another repository inside Wesnoth and merge updates to it. It seems that, besides from merging the subtree from time to time, no changes to the wesnoth repo would be n...

Re: Python Toolchain - Moving forward.
please count on me :) I agree on the own repo for the project, but it should maintain some kind of link with the main wesnoth code, so that content creators use the new tools. Let me think about all what you are proposing, to state more concrete opinions here, but just wanted to raise my hand backin...

Re: Getting Started
Hello, capgelka and jstitch. You should join the #wesnoth-dev IRC channel on freenode and discuss the areas you'd like to work on. There are already a few other people looking to help on the python toolchains, so you might be able to coordinate with them. The gist of it is that the tools are a mess...

Re: Getting Started
Hi, I wish to offer my help for python maintenance-tools. I have 4 years of experience developing python 2 . Already have cloned the git repo and have been looking a little at the main tools code. How can I help?

just for claryfication... when I played (and saved the replay) I was using BfW 0.9.3, for Windows, and when I try to watch at it, I'm still using the same version, in Windows, Linux of whatsoever, the file shows to be corrupt... and... well, I guess that things are getting clearer now... I suppose t...

a better explanation
Hi everybody... Due to the lack of interest in my post (don't worry, I know everyone has their lifes, or maybe this is not so an important matter), I'll try to explain things a lot better... First of all, the facts: I play BfW v0.9.3 I was using the Windows version for all this thing that I'll expla...

making fantasy...
Hi!, I'm just a begginer player of BfW, sorry if I'm saying something that's wrong... you could see 25 years as an 'opportunity' rather than a 'problem'. David My point is that, when you write fantasy (or maybe just anything), I think you have two options at those congruence problems, to rewrite it ...

more data...
well, the replay reaches just until turn 13, when one merman hits an orc in a sea-city (leaving it with just a few HP, for another merman to hit him and make it die...). Also, the sea-leader was by now dead, and the land one was having a hard time, well not exactly him, but his few units were overwh...

file tried to load is corrupt (Used to be 'corrupt replay')
Now the good one description of this problem is in the post #3, and the attached file is still in #2... ----- Hi! I was just re-playing HttT and saving replays just for fun, after each scenario I usually view the replay, and then at Bay of Pearls, replaying the game, the file went corrupt or somethi...

that's done!
well... I've managed to find the sceptre of fire at last, with a lot more money for the next scenario... if you are interested, keep reading on how i've done it... I had to return to the Lost General scenario, for advancing my dwarves a lot more... I managed to gain two dwarvish steelclads and a dwa...

i'll give it another try...
well, I think I'll give it another try, but maybe I'll start a few scenarios back, to try for a more advanced set of units. If I can't get any better, then I'll try the 'A choice must be made' scenario with the 100gp as I left it... I'll keep you informed, but, if anyone has more ideas, they are wel...

Wait... what does any of this have anything to do with the thread's topic? That's exactly what I'm wondering now... Anyway, thanx for the advices on 'A choice must be made', but I don't want it to try it yet, until having a better result in the Sceptre of Fire scenario, if it can be done... Any ide...

HttT, the sceptre of fire
hi! I've just finished the sceptre of fire scenario. I did it in the easy level, 'cause I'm just a beginner, but truly, this scenario cost me a lot of things: time, tries and money (not real money, but when I finished it, I ended up with big red numbers :( ) So... I'm here to ask you if you can advi...
