http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/CommandMode looks promising. but what is ’side’? or ’player’ vs. ’username’? username is clear, is player the number from 1-n? only real people count? and what is side? every slot/color is a side? so 3 players and 1 ai (p-p-a-p) h...

if you’re going fantasy with them i want mummies!

and i’d love a level 0 slave with a stone-knife. very weak and very cheap. no strong attacks but fast on feet.

I don't think this is desireable. that’s exactly what Neolinux wants. PBeM means "Play By eMail". that might take a month or even longer to complete. you could save the game after a turn and send that by mail to the next player. but i have no idea how multiple players could play on one saveg...

client/server protocol

i am currently scanning the sources for the communication protocol between client and server. i must admit that my c++ knowledge is older than 10 years.

can i get an overview or a definition of the protocol somewhere?

but shouldn’t it be the time of the server?
usually the servers don’t use the browsers time to mark their posts.

it looks like the server itself switches times back and forth.

order of posts is wrong

i just posted to the art forum. i was the last to post. but my post is before the last now!
my post time says 10:29.
the (older) post has a time of 10:4x.

and if you look at the first two entries: they are reverse as well!

anyone to repair the timestamps?
