Re: Visual Map-Pack

I thought I'd return from the dead just to say:

This is amazing and I'd love to see it mainlined.

Re: Alternate Era Version 2

Vampire or no, it's awesome looking, and would make a great leader. ;) Hi guys, just a quick post from the mysterious world of semi-retirement. :P I had a small bit of free time today, downloaded this era, and played around with it a bit. I really, really love it. Some small things that I noticed: T...

Re: The Modern Multiplayer Map Reader's Digest

Sorry, everyone- I just don't have much time for Wesnoth these days. I will likely have a bit more during the snowy months. :)

In the meantime, if anyone wants to suggest a mainline change, just make the edits, and send me the file. If I like it, I'll approve it. :)

Re: [mainline] Loyalist Bowman

I never recruit bowmen, and I mean never. I have no desire to convince anyone to buff them though, because- Plenty of people think it's a good choice, in certain situations. I'm not saying that I'm better than them by any means- I just like the influence that a subtle, not-so-obvious recruiti...

Re: Bold New Maps

Here's a present for doc p  Tis a game on the tombs of kesorak. P1 elves vs p2 loyalists. To me it seems like it is pretty easy to pressure both sides, splitting defending forces with only 1 side having the actual attack planned. Mobility still to me seems like its a big thing on this map, bu...

Re: Retro-minimalistic (Terrain) Package

Ha, while many of those terrain choices aren't my preference, it's cool that you made this, so that people have the option. I do really miss that flat-alias shade of brown! A lot of the changes could just be done in the regular map editor, as they undo some of the choices I made, like replacing the ...

Re: [mainline] Loyalist Bowman

Another stuff, bowmen can atack well from water to mele units, instead of taking retalation. Bowmen in water= OVERPOWERED! When I play with my friends, we agree to not put our Bowmen in the water, because AQUABOW = AUTOWIN. Seriously, there is no known counter for a Bowman shooting at you from the ...

You won't go 0-4. Just spam Grunts, and use a few Adepts to the clear their path to villages that you will sit on. Be reckless. 8)

Re: Best two units, the tournament

Gnork: My playing time will be very limited and unpredictable for the next 4 months, and it seems no one in my division is ever around during the times that I do end up with a block of free time, so- You could give Thrawn my spot, if you want. Unless you want to wait four months. ;) Though, at the r...

Re: Hornshark Island (new)... something needed to be changed

The map can still be adjusted of course, as far as terrain placement goes, but *** these starting units […] are actually the tools that make atypical terrain formations and village placements possible. I think that this is something that even some top players have missed, and more than anything, th...

Re: Best two units, the tournament

Well, I guess it can be thought of in this way:

The average game in this tournament has been what, maybe 15 turns?

Is one player getting 30 extra gold cool? Probably close to 2 free units?

I tend to think it does matter, but I also don't care all that much about what is decided.

Alright. Added your unit sets.
It is now so that if one of the factions is not one of those in the default era that player gets these replacement units, instead of both players getting no units.
Please check out the scenario after the next release.
Sure thing, and thanks. :)

Re: Hornshark Island (new)... something needed to be changed

No doubt anyone who's practiced on this map will have a nice edge in KOTF 2...... If you give a hint of wich players will play KOTF2, maybe some unexpected recruits could start training already  I have been thinking about an open registration, or at the very least, an invitationa...

Re: Hornshark Island (new)... something needed to be changed

i think the fuzz is because the new hornshark is a lot wackier than all the other mainline maps with those free starting units. Well, of course. I think you yourself know that's it's always been an uphill battle trying to get 1v1/ladder players to try anything new. :lol2: for me, it is not entirely...
