You are right - I don't want to mess things up, so I've posted the Guide, and would be delighted if someone could do something with it! It needs to be prominently located and easily editable - I've done my thing, now I'm hoping people who are good at strategy can fill in the blanks...

Sorry.

In a previous post I asked how I should post the Guide, but nobody got back to me..

If you could set it up like you want - I'm not up on this sort of thing myself  Thanks!

Wesnoth Strategy & Tactics Guide (0.x)

Okay then, here's the result of my efforts. Battle for Wesnoth Strategy & Tactics Guide (0.x) Here's what I wrote at the top of the document: Disclaimer This is a preliminary offering for a comprehensive ‘Battle for Wesnoth Strategy & Tactics Guide’. It is by no means claimed to...

Okay, I'm working on it. Preliminary version should be posted by the weekend. When I said it would hopefully be complete by 1.0, I meant it would be a nice, comprehensive, 'official' Strategy Guide, maybe to be included in the Manual. By the way, what format should I post it in, so it will be easy f...

Wouldn't it be more realistic to keep the Drakes as powerful as they are (or maybe even more powerful!), but just (perhaps a lot) more expensive. After all, Drakes are considerably bigger than the other races and therefore should be more powerful and tough, but they would also be far less common, an...

What? Campaigns start to get interesting around the 8th map! This is when your army has become full-powered and you can start having fun annihilating the opposition..

I would also like to be able to delete multiplayer maps directly (by right-clicking on them). This would enable me to install a whole batch of maps which are occasionally posted on the forum, then just keep the ones I like, without having to delete them manually from the installation. Also, I think ...

Sounds good. It would also be nice to be able to see lot more clearly which campaigns I have already installed have updates available from the server (as many campaigns don't seem to show their version number), and also which campaigns are considered to be complete (so I know which ones to embark on).

Battle for Wesnoth Strategy Guide?

Would anyone be interested in me putting together a preliminary strategy guide for Wesnoth, based mainly on the various posts on the wiki and in the forum? I intend to put all the information together in what will eventually become a full-fledged Strategy Guide, hopefully complete by the release of ...

Okay. Rework them. I suppose Drakes have had the least time spent on them anyway. Yes, they are pretty boring. Incidentally, I just beat Drakes in 13 turns recruiting only Goblin Spearmen. Yawn. Drakes are the equivalent of the long ball game in football (soccer). Undead are Germany (when Germany we...

Elvish Pillager claimed Drakes can just stay away from the defensive terrains, and then the high defense will cease to have value. In which case the Drakes opponent just waits until the appropriate time of day. For instance, Loyalists wait in cover until dawn, whereupon they advance and attack the D...

As all Drakes have the same vulnerability (i.e. weakness to pierce), it doesn't matter if they're resistant to other types of attacks - each faction has units that have pierce attack, so just recruit those (or cold if Undead). You know that recruiting any units with pierce attack will be good, no ma...
