Well, I gave it a whirl, and I like the improvements. I also tried it out in Latin. After which, I thought "There are hardly any games in Latin these days"

The idea of the move first, then check attack outcomes, is a good one, reminds me of Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. One suggestion: color code the hexes adjacent to an enemy red, I know this isn't a major performance boost, but it will help the newbies, as well as those who may forget where the ZOCs ...

You forget that eras are much harder to create than campaigns. While campaigns may be more time-consuming, balance isn't as much of an issue with campaigns as it is with eras. Also, eras don't have finite time-spans, like (most) campaigns.

As long as the host has the required files (Each client may need their own graphics beforehand, I'm not sure) new eras or maps will work over an MP game. Why are you telling me this? I still think that the Mermaid Initiate is somewhat overpowered. In an environment where most units have 60% or 70% defense—like water for Naga and Mermen—a magical unit can really turn the tide (pun intended). Increasing their cost would be nice, but they should also have xp requireme...

On the wiki (not anymore) there is a Backup Forum and Backup News sections. These have been taken down since the main forum is back up. If the site goes down again, they will be put back up.
